Man working, dog sniffing
Here you see man and his best friend enjoying quality time together. It's a lovely day and life is good, especially for dog until...
Help! Please help me up!
You can do it, Pal! Take a running leap...
But I can't, Dad! I need help!
All rightie, Pal. Here you go!
And the sniffing continues

So glad the dog was able to get rescued from that freezing water!
ReplyDeleteLove the story, that looks like one cold rescue tho.
ReplyDeleteDarla
LOVE IT! so glad he helped him up because i was getting really nervous about the dog falling through the ice that looks like it is breaking up further out. i love the shot of him pulling the dog up. in St Pete we lived on a street that the other end from us was waterfront, a man had a black lab, the lab would jump off the dock and swim the the sea wall and climb the ladder they built for him.
ReplyDeleteGreat series!! You got all the action, without making the guy feel self-conscious!!
ReplyDeleteLOVE THIS love like no other. B
ReplyDeleteGreat capture of this! I'm glad he didn't fall in, looks like open water up ahead.
ReplyDeleteYikes … that could have been a disaster! Happy to see the dog was rescued but shows how in a split second you can go from solid ice to sinking down. Suddenly I have this urge for a warm blanket and cozy fire. :)
ReplyDeleteThat was a great little story and it had a happy ending too!
ReplyDeleteoh, this made me smile!
ReplyDeleteNice series that really didn't even need any dialogue. The pictures told the story. Well done.
ReplyDeletevery, very good - as the previous poster said, doesn't even need dialogue!!
ReplyDeletePhew - that was close!
ReplyDeleteYou scared me - I thought he was going in!
ReplyDeleteNicely done photos capturing drama are compelling.
ReplyDeleteFantastic series, EG! Did these two know you were photographing them? That's a beautiful dog; reminds me of our Haley! She'd get in trouble sometimes, too, and want to be pulled out (of our pool!)...
ReplyDeleteDoggie, doggie, fussing up in a dangerous place, eh eh
ReplyDeleteGod bless you!
Cezar
Awesome series!
ReplyDeleteMe again! I made the switch because I'm frustrated with Blogger, esp. since Google took over. I dislike Google and now they're forcing their new formats on us.
ReplyDeleteAlso, I wanted a larger and easier venue to do more things than must post blog photos. This gives that to me. I can easily do galleries and slideshows, videos, etc.
There are so many more options with a regular website.
How touching <3
ReplyDeleteI was afraid the dog could fall in cold water! But luckily, there's a good ending to that story, and a pretty love and trust affair!
ReplyDeleteMan is a dog's best friend.
ReplyDeleteFun sequence, EG. Although ice can be slippery and dangerous in many ways. Was this today? You have that much of the white stuff still?
ReplyDeleteAwww, so cute! Love this.
ReplyDeleteOh, what a fun series! I love it! Glad he got help getting out of the water -- after all, sniffing is very important!!! Wonderful, EG!

All dogs should be off the ice now. It's not safe.
ReplyDeleteIt didn't look that big of a leap...until I had a second viewing of your first photo! No wonder he needed help!
ReplyDeleteSo glad this dog and owner resolved the situation as all too often you hear of owners perishing while trying to rescue dog. So sad for all concerned.
ReplyDeleteI'm glad the dog and owner resolved the situation!
ReplyDeleteGreat series!
Love it! Have to take care of your best friend!
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely post!
ReplyDeleteLove it. What a great picture story:)
ReplyDeleteGreat series and a happy ending! That must have been really cold for both of them!!!
ReplyDeleteGreat series and a happy ending! That must have been really cold for both of them!!!
ReplyDeleteOh that's sweet and great photos.
ReplyDeleteVery cute! Nice you captured this.
ReplyDeleteOh this post is so cute, how so loving the man is! The true love between them shows very well in your photos. On the other hand, you are still in the midst of winter, while we here just started our dry season and the temperature already soared to 34.5C the other day. That is so much higher than the last year at this period, i am scared when we reached the peak in April. OMG, what's happening to our world!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great series, EG! Man's best friend.
ReplyDeleteThat's a nice story that you are telling here with pictures. Glad the dog got onto safer ground.
ReplyDeletePoor thing. I am so glad "daddy" was there to the rescue.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful captures of the freezing moment.
Very sweet.
ReplyDeleteJust gorgeous ..... Beautiful dog. ..with a lovely Dad.
ReplyDeleteSuch a lovely story!
ReplyDeleteNice set of shots. That could have turned out a lot worse. I always like a happy ending. MB
ReplyDeleteI wish people would keep animals off of the ice like that.
ReplyDeleteDangerous time of year.
We have -17 this a.m. and expecting 13+ C. Wed.? Th? My late ex-father-in-law lost a dog on the river like this. So sad.
Cheers from Cottage Country!
Dogs can be pesky things! :)
ReplyDeleteCute, I was holding my breath worried he fell in. I am relieved now. :)
ReplyDeleteGreat post!!
ReplyDeleteMy heart melted.. as I saw the rescue.. glad the dog didn't go through the ice and into the biten cold water!!
Lovely pictures! :)
Poor little doggie. He's a cute one and evidently his master loves him to help out like that.
