Here you see man and his best friend enjoying quality time together. It's a lovely day and life is good, especially for dog until...

 Help! Please help me up!

You can do it, Pal! Take a running leap...

 But I can't, Dad! I need help!

All rightie, Pal. Here you go!

And the sniffing continues

  3. LOVE IT! so glad he helped him up because i was getting really nervous about the dog falling through the ice that looks like it is breaking up further out. i love the shot of him pulling the dog up. in St Pete we lived on a street that the other end from us was waterfront, a man had a black lab, the lab would jump off the dock and swim the the sea wall and climb the ladder they built for him.

  6. Yikes … that could have been a disaster! Happy to see the dog was rescued but shows how in a split second you can go from solid ice to sinking down. Suddenly I have this urge for a warm blanket and cozy fire. :)

  13. Fantastic series, EG! Did these two know you were photographing them? That's a beautiful dog; reminds me of our Haley! She'd get in trouble sometimes, too, and want to be pulled out (of our pool!)...

  15. Me again! I made the switch because I'm frustrated with Blogger, esp. since Google took over. I dislike Google and now they're forcing their new formats on us.

Also, I wanted a larger and easier venue to do more things than must post blog photos. This gives that to me. I can easily do galleries and slideshows, videos, etc.

There are so many more options with a regular website.

  17. Fun sequence, EG. Although ice can be slippery and dangerous in many ways. Was this today? You have that much of the white stuff still?

  29. Oh this post is so cute, how so loving the man is! The true love between them shows very well in your photos. On the other hand, you are still in the midst of winter, while we here just started our dry season and the temperature already soared to 34.5C the other day. That is so much higher than the last year at this period, i am scared when we reached the peak in April. OMG, what's happening to our world!
