Behind the wheel of an old TRACTOR
All of these are still in service. Yep, these are all lawn ornaments on country properties where there's tons of space for such fabulous memorabilia.
TRACTOR out in the cold
As you can see, my camera and I cannot resist taking photos of them.
Steam TRACTOR
I am linking to Jenny Matlock at Alphabe-Thursday HERE

ReplyDeleteI love all your old tractors. Amazing how things have changed. Funny, but I have a post for Rural Thursday and it's tractors, too. Mine are inside the local mall. I wish they had been outside.
ReplyDeleteThe steam engine looks like it has been stripped until not much left. I watch them on the farms around here when I was growing up.
ReplyDeleteGreat b&w composition, I like it a lot! ;)
ReplyDeleteTractors remind our farm in Brazil! ;)

I love these old vintage tractors and am always on the lookout for them in my area. I like your Thursday for T submission idea!
ReplyDeleteNice images, EG. The old tractors make great lawn decor out in the country. They wouldn't fit in my small West Hartford suburban lawn.

Wow, those are amazing machines, and still in use besides. Thank goodness for people that care enough to restore rather than replace. Gorgeous, gorgeous photos.
ReplyDeleteI am not familiar with steam tractors, but the tractor in the first shot looks familiar...as a little kid I would climb on an old tractor and pretend to drive it..at grandma's farm...that was in the early forties and the tractor was old then!
ReplyDeleteSo I really enjoyed these photos!
Wohoo, that first shot is for me! I would love to drive one (though this one probably won't go very far anymore, lol!)

Wonderful photos of today, my favorite is the first with this beautiful frame and play of light and shadows on the side of the tractor.
ReplyDeleteGreat shots of these old beauties!
ReplyDeleteThat last one looks like some of the garage-made/hand made motor bikes I have been seeing around town. Maybe their way of saving money on gas?
ReplyDeleteErika
Oh you captured my heart with that first photo! I may be woman, but I have loved mowing lawns since I was a child....now we have 5 acres and I have learned to use a riding mower/tractor too...and it's even better, not for the trimming with my push mower...but the hum of the tractor and the scents around me...it's like sailing away for a brief trip with just myself and nature! My daughter thinks I should use my IPOD on these get-aways, I say NO WAY!
ReplyDeleteThese are great. Love the color!
ReplyDelete=)
Love the steam tractor! Realize now how long they have been using those! Have a great Easter weekend!
ReplyDeleteI adore old farm machinery...
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely loved this one!
tractors and other old farm equipment can be so fun to photograph..the older and crustier, the better. Nicely done!
ReplyDelete«Louis» has two uncles in Texas who restore farm implements. He's sending them the link to this. They'll enjoy it!
ReplyDeleteThose are so cool!
ReplyDeleteI like to see old tractors.~Ames
ReplyDeleteOld tractors are so much more interesting than modern ones! They have character :)
ReplyDeleteSeeing your old tractor pictures brings me back in time. Great post!
ReplyDeleteLoved these terrific pictures of tractors!
ReplyDeleteI think they are so sculptural. If I had a big yard, I'd totally put one out front! Much to my AZ neighbors dismay, I suspect!
Thanks for a terrific link for the letter 'T'.
