V/Alphabe-Thursday

 Last year's tough old tendrils and this year's new growth

VINES: In spring, not just the weather is full of contrasts.


 Twisted VINE

This old grapevine reaches for the sky by winding it's way to the top.

 Black-eyed Susan VINE

The black-eyed Susan is a vine I am looking forward to seeing in a month or two but...

Taking over!

    The first vine bring thoughts of good wine. The vines on the antenna, well, I agree they are unwelcome. I have to go "find" my lamp post from beneath vines very soon!

    i love vines, and these are pretty. i even like the ones on top of the house, to look at but not on my house. it is vine hacking season here.

    Your top photo is so sculptural. The black eyed susan vine does not look like what I think of as black eyed susan - beautiful flower.

    I too love flowering vines but they can be so invasive. It's a constant job keeping them in tow.

    gorgeous photos, i especially like the close up of the grape vine. my husband has been doing battle with some ivy vines that are taking over one of our trees. to date, it is a draw, neither is winning, but as the tree is still thriving, at least we are making inroads to saving it.

    Great post! I am not a viney kinda gal! We lived in a house that had grape vines. Pretty in bloom, not so much in the winter time!
