Blue-Eyed Grass/ Sunday Best

Blue-eyed grass

This Ontario wildflower is not a true grass in spite of its name.  Its leaves - which I have neglected to photograph - just look like grass. The blossom is less than 3/4 of an inch in diameter, so quite small.

  11. Lovely! I have seen a flower called "blue-eyed grass" in Va. too but it was a more pale blue....still looks just like this one. Probably related.

  17. oh it's just so pretty!! funny how some beautiful blooms just grow wild and we work so hard to get to get things to flower in our gardens!!

    when viewing the picture, it is hard to believe this bloom is so small!!
