Green frog admiring this week's blossoms
Largest square: As you can see, the Green Frog (YES, that is his real name) is concentrating on something...and it's not me or the flowers/ He's about to pounce on a delicious-looking dragonfly. I'm sure though that if his hunger had been satisfied he wouls have been admiring the wildflowers.
Working clockwise: devils paintbrush aka orange hawkweed (Hieracium aurantiacum), golden ragwort (Senecio aureus), hairy beardtongue (Penstemon hirsutus), pasture rose (Rosa carolina) and shrubby cinquefoil (Potentilla fruticosa).

NATURE NOTES.
The frog has the right idea...surrounded by beauty.
ReplyDeleteThis year the mild weather gave everything an early start.
ReplyDeleteYour photos sometimes bring me right back to my childhood. I would spend hours catching green frogs, sometimes keeping them for awhile but most times letting them go.
ReplyDeleteMy parents told me that if I didn't quit I was gonna croak!
Your collage is beautiful and my favorite is the cute frog Prince charming!
ReplyDelete;)

ReplyDeleteWonderful nature collage. You have a lot in bloom and the frog is so beautiful I could kiss it. Well maybe not but it does look like a princely frog.
ReplyDeleteThe frog may not be admiring the beautiful blossoms, but I sure am.

ReplyDeleteOh I love the green frog and I can hear a few as I am typing...Ah..I planted some beardtongue last season and I have to look at what kind it is now that you remind me.. and yes..may those poor rodents that the woman is going to poison stink up her shed..I should have asked her where she though they would go and expire.....Michelle
