Very colorful. I think we here in Texas would call those yellowjackets. Our wasps are either red or black - and both are deadly. I carry an Epipen but have never had occasion to use it in over 40 years! You might say I'm VERY careful, because we have lots of stinging insects here!
My humming bird feeder has been taken down due to some back yard construction, but that didn't stop the H B to come looking for his breakfast this morning. It buzzed right by my ear.... I had no idea HBs are so LOUD!!!
