I/Alphabe-Thursday

 Christmas in July?

You're correct. This ICICLE photo is from my archives.  It sure has been hot here - and maybe where you are too - so I thought you might like to see something cool and refreshing. Way cool, don't you think?

What? Too cool?  Well, what about this?

  7. Wow! Even the lights are sweating out the heat?

  8. Yeah, right! I know you northerners. As soon as it gets warm, you cry for winter. When winter comes you cry about the cold! Sheesh! ;-)

But, the icicles warming in the sun is a nice respite from the heat!

  24. Very cooling! My husband discovered a cooler from Walmart called a "Froggie Tod" or "Chill Pad" or something like that. It's one of those damp towels that keeps its cool even in hot outside temps.

  29. Love your icicles, Ms. E.G. I would have never thought about icicles for the "I" word in July here in the Northern Hemisphere. (I did think of 'ice cubes' though.)

  31. I would enjoy a quick trip there to cool off. Or pick off one of those icicles and let it melt on my forehead. I'm beginning to wish for September, which is unusual since Summer was always my favorite time of the year. I think this year it will be fall.

  36. The only icicles we see in my piece of Florida are the electrified variety that appear on many houses over the Christmas holidays. That is just right for me--I do not miss freezing temperatures or shoveling snow and icicles are definitely an indication of too much cold weather! Still, I'm sure the idea of crisp winter temperatures is appealing to people in heat-stricken parts of the country.
