Scavenger Hunt

a. Outside

Even when it's very cold outside, a few hardy Canadians enjoy ice fishing.

 2. Backside

There was no hill n the yard, so brother and sister were taking turns pulling each other on this plastic sled.

 c. Little things

This black-capped chickadee is about the same size as the one illustrated on the coaster being used as a trail marker.

d. Cup of...

Early on some winter mornings when I am out birding (like last Thursday), cafe mocha warms me up.

e. Reflect
January - a great time to reflect on the past, look forward to the future, and enjoy the beauty of NOW.

Reflect on the past, look ahead to the future.

  1. Your "Scavenger Hunt" photos show that you have been out and about in the winter months. After yesterday's big melt it appears to over for the time being and we will be back to photographing drab colourless outdoor scenes.

  10. Winter is always such a great time to just catch our breath. I don't ice fish, but it has got to be one of the most restful sports you could do. Wonder how many fish they actually catch?

  13. Great wintery collection. I like how the coaster was used as a trail marker, and how it equally (and coincidentally) matches up with the little bird (talk about timing!).

  18. Oh my goodness these shots are all fabulous. I love them all and to pick a favorite is really difficult.

But I don't see ice fishing anymore as we moved from Maine and I love that shot. It brings back lots of good memories.

I followed you on GFC because I love your photography and I definitely want to to encourage you to keep this up!

    Happy Hunting next week!:-)

  21. My husband grew up ice fishing in Chicago. I love hearing him tell about it, especially how the fish "come alive" again once you get them home.

I also love that third one, "little things."
