Fog over Lake Ontario
F is for FOG
Sunday was hot, humid...and foggy. But that didn't keep some people indoors.
Same beach, looking the other way
A few dogs demanded they get their walkies. Note that the guy in the foreground had a doggy bag with him. Good dog owner!
Grandma with three grandkids
Kids needed some fresh air. (I'm thinking grandma might have needed it too.)
Sailing in the fog
And even sailors were out. The boat had just motored out of the harbour and the captain was about to raise the sails. This looks like a challenge to me - very little wind and low visibility. Hmmm. I don't get it...but I'm a land lubber.
I am linking to Jenny Matlock at Alphabe-Thursday HERE
When it is too hot and humid I like to stay indoors or sit under the shade of a tree in the park. Those people on the boat might feel cool out on the water. Not sure as I'm a land lubber too ;-)
ReplyDeleteI love the first photo, the mist is so atmospheric
ReplyDeleteThat's the only of kind of fog I like being in. Is this in Pickering??
ReplyDeleteI can almost feel the humidity coming from my monitor! Looks steamy, EG. :)
ReplyDeleteDefinitely a triple H day (hot, hazy, humid)! The humidity is gone here this morning and now it's just cool and damp and cloudy. It makes me want to stay in the house.
ReplyDeleteAs a youngster I lived on the shore of Lake Michigan, got used to the fog, and still love it.
ReplyDeleteGreat shot of the boat in the fog. Don't know that sailing would work so well but it makes a great photo.
ReplyDeleteDarla
my favorites today are the second and third with people wandering in the foggy day... good guy with the doggy bag. not everyone is that good.
ReplyDeleteGood to be outside even if there is a bit of fog. Perhaps that sailor figures the fog will lift later in the day. I don't like sailing without visibility.
ReplyDeleteFoggy scenes are so serene. The sailboat really made me go ahhhhh.
ReplyDeletemany many years ago my husband had a sailboat on Lake Ontario and insisted on sailing in the fog, I was terrified that we would get lost and never be seen again!
ReplyDeleteI love the frist photo as well!
ReplyDeletei love fog early in the morning, even if it is a sign of high humidity for the day!
ReplyDeleteI love the fog. your water pictures are so pretty.
ReplyDeleteBeautifully peaceful. :)
ReplyDeleteI love the softness of foggy shots.
ReplyDeleteI love the first photo and the last of the boat. I've never seen fog roll in off a large body of water. We occasionally get fog in the winter when there is an inversion.
ReplyDeleteI love that first image of the foggy landscape!!!
ReplyDeleteAnd everyone needs some fresh air... I tell the dogs that every day when I roust them out of bed!!
I'm a land lubber, also - but I do love watching the boats, and this is such a nice shot!
ReplyDeleteI love to sail, but not in that soup!
ReplyDelete=)
I love walking in the fog!
ReplyDeleteA hot day at the beach means we stay in the air-conditioning - wherever that may be. It's 92 here right now and very warm in the sun. I just got home from golfing ... might need to take a nap. Bye........
ReplyDeleteGreat shots of fog.
ReplyDeleteSuper nice tour -
ReplyDeleteI'll go back & help walk the pups . . NOT going for a sail . . .
Excellent Day to YOU!

Looking at these pictures,I can almost feel the heat and humidity. Most definitely not my kind of weather.
ReplyDeleteHeehee, I love the word landlubber. The weather has been perfectly muggy here lately too. Doesn't look this good though!:)
ReplyDeleteI could go for a walk in the fog.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful pictures. We've had really hot, hazy weather here too.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful photos! I don't like the hot weather. I will fare better in cooler temps like the 70 's and 60's with low humidity!
ReplyDeleteIt is always fun sharing and that sailboat is very cool.
Have a fun weekend and thanks againf or sharing!
Nice photo essay of your part of the world. Keep 'em coming.
ReplyDeleteA mysterious environment there.
ReplyDeleteHow lovely to be able to walk on a beach with grandchildren
ReplyDeleteI don't like the combo of heat and humidity, but if I had a gorgeous view like that...I would probably be out there as much as possible! Love that first shot!

ReplyDeleteWe have the same fog on this side of Lake Ontario, in Rochester, NY. Lovely photos.
