Nature Notes

Mostly overcast and wet

Largest square: a tern and gull fly over a pond prepared to dive if they see a swimming treat.

I love all the wildflowers we now see along roadsides and in fields.

Moving clockwise:
1. English daisies (Bellis perennis) blooming in a park lawn;
2. Morrow honeysuckle (Lonicera morrowii);
3. Daisies (Leucanthemum vulgare);
4. Dames rocket (Hesperis matronalis)
5. Tufted vetch (Vicia cracca)

Please visit Michelle at Rambling Woods for more NATURE NOTES.

  14. Nice collage EG, nothing cheers up a difficult spot in the garden like daises, and so hardy.

  17. I always enjoy your Nature Notes. I just moved some wild daisy hoping they'll grow where it's too steep to mow. I thought some wild flowers amongst the weeds would look pretty.
