Chippy

Out of its hole and up on the fence

This chipmunk  is out "shopping" for nuts and seeds to store for the winter ahead. I was lucky enough to see it pop up in its hole,  climb out, look around. and then hop up on a fence to collect a mouthful of seeds.

  5. They are cute. I know of some burrowed behind a stone retaining wall in a park. They should be making themselves scarce soon.

  16. We don't have chipmunks on Crete and I miss them; they're adorable, the cuter, less creepy members of the rodent species!
