Nature's Ice Sculpture

Can you see the heart?

Last week the weather was COLD.  A natural spring near my home flows year round. This week the splatters formed interesting shapes and then slowly melted. Some of the shapes you can see here.

  6. I suspect that your own heart is warmer than this, but if nature is going into the deep freeze, the shape could have been worse :-)

  8. I see the heart! Took me a few seconds, but how cool. Can't believe it's that cold there. We were in the 30s for two mornings this week and for the weekend we will have the a/c back on. Grrrrr.

  12. I see the heart. That seems like a lot of ice. We are getting snow today in our part of the country but no ice like that.

  13. Jest serce, ale z lodu, zimne. Smutno, że idzie taka pora roku. Zdjęcia jednak są świetne. Pozdrawiam.
It is the heart, but with ice cold. I was going this time of year. Photos, however, are great. Yours.

  23. These are wonderful glimpses of the frozen world...or melting world...whichever way you look at it. I love the shape of the first ones...then something about the second makes me smile...and I have no idea why.
