Field Sparrow (Spizella pusilla)
This elusive little guy finally showed up yesterday where I could get a good photo of him/her. I had to stand very quiet for a long time but eventually he came back to this feeder to check out the goodies there

ReplyDeleteWhat a cutie! I do not see these sparrows at my feeders. Wonderful photos. Thank for sharing on Saturday's Critters. Have a happy weekend!
ReplyDeleteMiraculous. I grab the camera and go for a walk!
ReplyDeleteLooks we'll fed! Patience with animals is pretty important.
ReplyDeleteA sweet, little bird!
ReplyDeleteGreat pix. Rarely see one up close, but I hear them all summer. Isn't it the one whose call sounds like a Ping pong ball dropping?
ReplyDeleteWonderful photos of the sparrows
ReplyDeleteHave a nice weekend
Hi EG your patience paid of as you got great shots of him.
ReplyDeleteTe ptaszki są kochane, bardzo je lubię. Pozdrawiam.
ReplyDeleteThese birds are loved, like them very much. Yours.
It looks like he has the entire feeder to himself!!
ReplyDeleteThese are wonderful images of this sweet little one.

ReplyDeleteI love these dainty little birds! So sweet, and you have gotten some great shots!
ReplyDeleteWonderful shots. Can't really decide which one I like better. Each one has something going for them. The first one is nicely framed and the second one really, really cute :)

several years ago i went out birding with my friend Diane. she kept telling me to make like a tree... i have no patience with waiting... and with birds that is a requirement...
ReplyDeleteSuch a cute little friend.
ReplyDeleteA cutie! Great close-ups!I have seen a few at my feeders and didn't know what they were.
ReplyDeleteWhat great shots of this cute little bird!
ReplyDeleteVery sweet pics.
ReplyDeleteYour patience paid off to get such beautiful, clear shots!
ReplyDeleteSparrows don't get enough exposure on blogs. Nice you featured him.
ReplyDeleteI don't think I've ever seen any kind of sparrow that close up (a living one, that is.) Beautiful photos!
ReplyDeleteSweet bird and great shots. We have mostly Song and Fox at our feeders now. I have a hard time telling some of them apart. MB
ReplyDeleteLove those sparrows... and your shots!
ReplyDeleteWonderful photos of this cute little bird. We've had snow the past two days, so there's been lots of feathered friends visiting our bird feeders.
ReplyDeleteCute little bird!
ReplyDeleteSweet!
ReplyDeleteWe get many of these birds on our bird feeders but I can never get as close you did. Your picture is so clear - I loved it.
ReplyDeletePatience paid off. These are great shots.
ReplyDeleteHe/she looks so sweet in the images.
ReplyDeleteI read somewhere that sparrows -of all birds- were kind of at risk in Europe. I love them, they are so cute so I've really enjoyed these pics!
ReplyDeleteNeat little chap! And no relation to our sparrows, I believe. The weather here has been too mild to attract anything unusual to the feeders.
ReplyDeleteAnd s/he is such a darling!
ReplyDeleteThose are great shots! Such cute little birds.
