Ladders
L is for Ladders
Bottom right and moving clockwise: Sharon Temple ladder (East Gwillimbury) leading to second story (see HERE for more information), in an apple orchard, on a Canadian National train and on a house being renovated
Scary, me thinks
Still scary, but not as much as the one above
I am linking to Jenny Matlock at Alphabe-Thursday HERE
Nice group here EG.. Being paranoid about height you're not going to find me up a ladder anytime soon :)
ReplyDeleteHi! Nice captures. They are very interesting shots. Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteI second what PerthDaily said...I am a big ole scaredy cat about heights. Nice collection for L.
ReplyDeleteSuper bunch of pics for your theme...I don't much like ladders 'cause I tend to fall off of them, but they are a necessary evil, especially if one is vertically challenged!
ReplyDeleteI think OSHA should have a look at these. :-)
ReplyDeleteExcellent shots... particularly the one from Sharon Temple.
ReplyDeleteOh I have to show this post to My Hero.....ladders you know he has a thing for them:) Great shots. I love the silo ladder you know the rickety one:) Hug B
ReplyDeleteIf we weren't bloggers would we even notice the variety of something so mundane as ladders? I think that we are fortunate to have our senses awakened by this photographic activity we all share. Love them all, except the scary silo ladder.
ReplyDeleteGreat group of ladders. I like the clever letters in your collage too. Ladders on silo's look frightening even the one in good repair.
ReplyDeleteDarla
Some ladders look a LOT more stable than others, great series!
ReplyDeleteI'll pass on everyone of them.
ReplyDeleteGreat group of ladders! I don't think I would climb any of them though.
ReplyDeleteI love your ladder finds! It makes for a great series!
ReplyDeletelol, what can I say? Love it! giggling :)
ReplyDeleteyup - pretty scary all the way through, if you ask me!
ReplyDeleteMe-thinks that one looks scary, too! Yikes!!!!
ReplyDeleteI like looking at them......just not climbing them:)
ReplyDeletemy favorite ladder is your laddered letters.. that is just to cool and creative... both those ladders are scary and i would not climb either of them.. i like that pile of ladders to
ReplyDeleteHi, is it Thursday where you are? do you have a time-travelling ladder, or are you just super-efficient?
ReplyDeleteHI No, you would not get me up either of the 2nd or 3rd ladder.
ReplyDeleteI used to skip up those things but nowadays I prefer terra firma. Interesting and contrasting group of pictures.
ReplyDeleteNow this sounds like an interesting blog party. I wouldn't attempt that ladder either, scary is putting it mildly. Very nice shots, enjoy your the party. Perhps I can join in one day if I learn the rules.
ReplyDeleteCindy
Oh that one is super scary! I applaud the brave one who manages to scale it!
ReplyDeleteLadders and heights have never bothered me...but that first ladder? Uh uh, no way!
ReplyDeleteDon't trust them and don't like them! ;-)
ReplyDeleteWow, you found lots of different ladders. The ladder in your second picture is scary looking! I like the the stack of ladders on the lower left hand side of the collage.
ReplyDeleteA nice selection of ladders, but I wouldn't use them! I'm bad enough when they're firmly on the ground let alone all wonky!
ReplyDeleteThat's a real collection!
ReplyDeleteWhoa! That one really is scary!
ReplyDeleteBill took a bad fall off a ladder years ago, so scary ladders make me shudder.
ReplyDeleteLadders can make interesting compositions.
ReplyDeleteWonderful ladder captures. I'd say that one is a wee bit scary.
ReplyDeleteNeat photos and very creatively done for L ~ thanks for visiting ~ carol, xxx

Very artistically done and a bit scary! Thanks for visiting me in winter wonderland!
ReplyDeleteme and ladders had a parting of ways years ago for good reason. those shots actually make me feel a little woozy!
ReplyDeletelovely l post though...
Those ladders look like something I would not do very well with, especially that top one. You asked what lens that I had rented. It is a nikkor 200/400mm lens and was really great , but much to big to handle well without alot of difficulty. Not planning to buy one.... for sure
ReplyDeleteGreat selection for this week!
ReplyDeleteLadders, how cool! I like this very much. Of course the house outside and inside, are my first favorite photos, and then the fallen and scattered about hanging ladder is next as a favorite.
ReplyDeleteSome rickety ladders there YIKES! Wonderful photos !
ReplyDeleteUm. Pretty sure I wouldn't want to try either of the last two. Great photos though!
ReplyDeleteInteresting ladders - that first one looks terrifying!
ReplyDeletegreat set of photos. the ladders are wonderfully photographed.
ReplyDeletehave a great thursday~
Ditto what Kate mentioned: interesting how having a camera in your hands makes you notice the otherwise mundane. Though your shots are anything but mundane and you've harvested an great crop of ladders here. The one in the middle gives me jitters just looking at it.
ReplyDeleteI think you nailed the theme.
ReplyDeleteSuperb collection of shots as always!
ReplyDeleteI'd have to be forced to use the second one up....so glad I did not have to use orchard ladders! I had a thing that had hydraulics that lifted me up and down, etc!
ReplyDeleteGreat theme! The ladder on the train is brilliant.
ReplyDeleteCool images for Ladders. Kinda scary for me too. MB
ReplyDeleteMy balance is so bad that when I saw your photos, I gripped the arms of the chair!!!!
ReplyDeleteOh yeah, I'm definitely climbing that middle one.... ha! As if. I'm uncomfortable on the second step of a step stool!
ReplyDeleteFun mix of ladders.
ReplyDeleteYou have such an exquisite eye. Never looked at ladders from an artistic standpoint. You make them look beautiful. Don't like climbing them.
ReplyDeleteExcellent series♪ http://lauriekazmierczak.com/love-divine-all-loves-excelling%E2%99%AA/
ReplyDeleteLovely ladders! Even the precarious looking ones!
ReplyDeleteI love, love, love the ladders in the apple orchard!
ReplyDeleteThanks for linking to the letter "L".
