 Ladders

L is for Ladders

Bottom right and moving clockwise:  Sharon Temple ladder (East Gwillimbury) leading to second story (see HERE for more information), in an apple orchard, on a Canadian National train and on a house being renovated

 Scary, me thinks

Still scary, but not as much as the one above

I am linking to Jenny Matlock at Alphabe-Thursday HERE

  3. I second what PerthDaily said...I am a big ole scaredy cat about heights. Nice collection for L.

  4. Super bunch of pics for your theme...I don't much like ladders 'cause I tend to fall off of them, but they are a necessary evil, especially if one is vertically challenged!

  5. I think OSHA should have a look at these. :-)

  8. If we weren't bloggers would we even notice the variety of something so mundane as ladders? I think that we are fortunate to have our senses awakened by this photographic activity we all share. Love them all, except the scary silo ladder.

  9. Great group of ladders. I like the clever letters in your collage too. Ladders on silo's look frightening even the one in good repair.

  18. Hi, is it Thursday where you are? do you have a time-travelling ladder, or are you just super-efficient?

    ReplyDelete
  19. HI No, you would not get me up either of the 2nd or 3rd ladder.

  20. I used to skip up those things but nowadays I prefer terra firma. Interesting and contrasting group of pictures.

  24. Don't trust them and don't like them! ;-)

  25. Wow, you found lots of different ladders. The ladder in your second picture is scary looking! I like the the stack of ladders on the lower left hand side of the collage.

  26. A nice selection of ladders, but I wouldn't use them! I'm bad enough when they're firmly on the ground let alone all wonky!

  27. Bill took a bad fall off a ladder years ago, so scary ladders make me shudder.

  33. Those ladders look like something I would not do very well with, especially that top one. You asked what lens that I had rented. It is a nikkor 200/400mm lens and was really great , but much to big to handle well without alot of difficulty. Not planning to buy one.... for sure

  34. Ladders, how cool! I like this very much. Of course the house outside and inside, are my first favorite photos, and then the fallen and scattered about hanging ladder is next as a favorite.

  39. Ditto what Kate mentioned: interesting how having a camera in your hands makes you notice the otherwise mundane. Though your shots are anything but mundane and you've harvested an great crop of ladders here. The one in the middle gives me jitters just looking at it.

  40. Superb collection of shots as always!

  41. I'd have to be forced to use the second one up....so glad I did not have to use orchard ladders! I had a thing that had hydraulics that lifted me up and down, etc!

    ReplyDelete
  42. Great theme! The ladder on the train is brilliant.

  43. Cool images for Ladders. Kinda scary for me too. MB

  45. Oh yeah, I'm definitely climbing that middle one.... ha! As if. I'm uncomfortable on the second step of a step stool!

  46. You have such an exquisite eye. Never looked at ladders from an artistic standpoint. You make them look beautiful. Don't like climbing them.
