Deer in the middle of path
The deer must be very hungry to be out during daylight hours. Clearly, this one knows I'm there with my camera.
Pondering the situation
Wondering if it should stay and munch on some yummy red-osier dogwood or follow the rest of its kin.
Turning off the path
It chewed off a few stems and then followed its family.
I am linking with Saturday Critters HERE.
Judging by the first photo... she loves you.
ReplyDeletePretty deer, they do not seem to mind you taking photos. Thank you for linking up with Saturday's Critters.. Have a happy weekend!
ReplyDeleteThey can be skittish, but this one seems okay. Beautiful!
ReplyDeleteI love that first portrait!!!! Maybe you are just in an area where they are used to being fed, and so have lost their fear of people...
ReplyDeleteI guess you can't call this a deer caught in the headlights look... just one caught out in the open.
ReplyDeleteThis little sweetie must have know you were not planning anything harmful.
ReplyDeleteLovely photos of one of my favorite animals!
Beautiful captures! I noticed the red dogwoods all chewed down last Saturday when we were out.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful pictures.
ReplyDeleteI'm with you. I hate crowded beaches. But one must admit this is a pretty attractive place to be - especially on the weekends! :)
ReplyDeleteNice of him/her to allow you time for a photo shoot. The ones I see are quickly on the run.

ReplyDeleteThat must have been fun to find that beauty on the path. The White Tail Deer is so much prettier than our Mule Deer that we see here.

ReplyDeleteGreat photos. We don't get deer, nearby, so it's great to see some closeups.
ReplyDeleteWhat a beauty!
ReplyDeleteGreat shots. We have lots of deer here in East Texas and we occasionally see them in our meadow, in our driveway, and in our backyard. They're always a treat to spot.
ReplyDeleteLovely photos! Love deer!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful! and I really like the way you have caught the indecision shown by the body stance.
ReplyDeleteHello sweet face, you are just adorable.
ReplyDeleteSweet!
ReplyDeleteThey are probably fed up with this winter too!
ReplyDeleteThey're beautiful animals.
ReplyDeleteInteresting, our deer are here all the time! I hauled in some wood, and spotted several in the forest.
ReplyDeleteThey are at the end, hopefully, the snow won't melt too quickly, and freeze plants, but we'll see what happens!

ReplyDeleteIt appears she was posing for you. Lovely deer images!
ReplyDeleteThe deer looks to be healthy and that is good. Last spring the deer around here were so skinny.

ReplyDeleteI love spotting dear when I am out and about, I rarely have my camera though. Terrific captures!
ReplyDeleteA fiend girl and a not shy deer.
ReplyDeleteWe have been seeing more and more deer out during the day here too. I think they are getting hungry for Spring just as we are. Nice images. MB
ReplyDeleteLots of deer visit us in the mountains. They are quite used to us and unless we startle them we can watch them from the deck as they wander about.
ReplyDeleteDarla
He's beautiful! Posed just perfectly for you. :)
ReplyDeleteThey are such beautiful pests!
ReplyDelete;)
Yes I think they must be hungry. We have mule deer here in Utah.
ReplyDeleteShe's lovely...I hope not too hungry! This heavy winter must be hard on all the critters!
