American robin
Yesterday, I took a scenic route home from the hospital. It was raining and there were puddles, but I didn't see any worms where this robin was searching for supper. It was foraging in the middle of a country gravel road. Sounds scary to me!
I am linking with Saturday Critters HERE.
...it's a beautiful robin, and obviously had something on it's mind
ReplyDeleteA good capture of the little fellow.
ReplyDeleteIt's rewarding seeing them, isn't it? You take care.
ReplyDeleteIt does seem like it's gazing off into the distance, maybe looking where to go next :)
ReplyDeleteCute shot of the robin..I see the birds next to the road all the time, they must be finding something good there. Thank you for linking up to my critter party. Happy Easter!
ReplyDeleteOh Robyns like to pick up gravel much like chickens. Great shot. Hope all is going well at the hospital. Happy Easter. HUG B
ReplyDeleteWhat a gorgeous bird !
ReplyDeleteHappy Easter !
Are you finally convinced that spring is coming?
ReplyDeleteI am just loving the day, says happy Robin on this day.
ReplyDeleteMaybe he was just taking a stroll- oh I am so glad it is spring..great shot!
ReplyDeleteYes, you do wonder why birds choose to live dangerously when an apparently good feeding spot can be yards away. A good photo opportunity for you though and a well taken shot.
ReplyDeletewhat a great capture... hope it found some nourishment... have a great day~
ReplyDeleteIt's so great to see the Robins, isn't it. Maybe she's pondering where to build her nest.
ReplyDeleteI hope things are going well at the hospital.
Have a Blessed Easter.
Pretty Robin!
ReplyDeleteso very cute!
ReplyDeleteThat's one brave robin! Nice photo.
ReplyDeleteHandsome guy!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful Robin.
ReplyDeleteA very pretty bird.
ReplyDeletehe is pretty and hope he moved out of the road... so why is an American Robin in Canada in the middle of your road? LOL
ReplyDeleteThey look so different from our English Robins that I find it difficult to understand why they have the same name. Interestingly ours were originally called Redbreasts, Robin was added as a childish nickname but then became more widely accepted. It's rather like all lambs becoming Larrys or mules becoming Muffins!
ReplyDeleteSweet capture. I love robins and they sure live life dangerously as they flit back and forth across roadways to get to grass and food. We have hit them while driving and it makes me sad.
ReplyDeleteThey seem to be all over the place this last week!

I like American robins but for cuteness they don't come anywhere close the European ones!
ReplyDeleteRegardless what it was doing it posed nicely for you.
ReplyDeleteGreat pic! My mom loves robins because her last name is Robbins, and they are always using that likeness for word play. For example, they call their house "The Robbins Nest."
ReplyDelete=)
The robins are very busy in the garden right now ... finding worms, nesting, and just hopping all over the ground.

ReplyDeleteThat's a great shot! It does make you wonder what they are thinking sometimes.
ReplyDeleteA noble robin, EG.
ReplyDeleteDearest EG CameraGirl;
ReplyDeleteHow LOVELY your Robin is♡♡♡ And I guess you mentioned 'scary' as the traffic may danger him/her. Sweet of your thoughts.

Sending you Lots of Love and Hugs from Japan, xoxo Miyako*
The very common Robin is always a joy to see and even more so in spring.
