Bumbling About

Bumblebee on periwinkle (Vinca minor)

Last week the bumblebees were out and about. I'm fond of these busy pollinators, the first I've seen this year.

  4. Really nice shot. I like to take pictures of them. They don't seem to mind posing. Of course, I'm a little frightened of them. Maybe they can smell fear.

  10. I never thought bees this Beautiful before p;) I love the color contrast With the purple periwinkle♡♡♡ 
    I didn't know the onomatopoeia ”Bumble"; we have so many words for sounds in Japanese and pollinaters was also the first for me (^_^)v

  14. All seems right with the world when bumblebees are out and about doing their jobs and making honey. This very fuzzy one looks like he is wearing a fur coat. :)

  16. Great title. One creepy looking bee; but very interesting at the same time! We have many different bees here, but I have never seen one like this one.
