I could spend hours in a place like that!!! This photo reminds me that I should get back to work photographing all the stuff I brought from my childhood home last year...
I too would have been tempted to get the heater. Fun stuff. I just--a few months ago--opened a corner in an antique/collectible shop. Fun to try to get rid of some stuff I have had for ages. The store I am in is called Ella Bella Vintage finds and is in Conway. It is a fun endeavor. MB
It's great fun to wander through these kinds of places, although it isn't often I buy anything. Don't see anything in this particular collection that I'd want, either. But I'd certainly go look!
Thanks for visiting my little corner of the world. I hope you enjoyed your stay here. Please leave a comment before you leave so I can visit your blog.
Interesting find Camera Girl. It's been a long time since I have seen a trunk.
ReplyDeleteReminds me some of my old footlocker from college. Only it's in far better shape than my footlocker ever was. Now that was rubbish! :-)
ReplyDeleteInteresting stuff. My niece would probably turn the trunk into artwork and sell it.
ReplyDeletei guess the blue item - is a heater? i admit you found some interesting finds. i wonder if you took anything home?
ReplyDeletehappy week. ( :
I think the little blue stove is the most interesting item in your photo.
ReplyDeleteThere's sometimes a difference between what we need and what we want ! :)
ReplyDeleteLove teh kerosene heater! Haven't seen one of those in years. Thanks for linking up!
ReplyDeleteI have a small heater like the one pictured. It was used in a ice-fishing shanty in the Adirondack Mountains years ago. Tom The Backroads Traveller

ReplyDeleteThank goodness people identified the blue item! I was wondering...
ReplyDeleteAlways tempting looking at this stuff.

ReplyDeleteperusing is fun. :)
ReplyDeleteNope, nothing I could use there. But it is surprising the things I see people buy at my flea market. Makes me wonder what their homes must look like.
ReplyDeleteTreasure or thrash, a thin line difference.
ReplyDeleteI like the stove and the trunk, but I would just look. I've got so much junk around here already..I'd probably do best to stay away from sales.
ReplyDeleteI would have been tempted to buy that antique heater!

ReplyDeleteI like the look of these junk items, especially the trunk.
ReplyDeleteCall it what you want to but that is the perfect witch's cauldron... Hmmmmm, I wonder what I'll put into it... :-)
ReplyDeleteI enjoy doing this too, and you never know what you might find. I found many of my vintage cameras this way.
ReplyDeleteI'm a sucker for old trunks. I think I'd go for that one.
ReplyDeleteI do like the look of that little, blue stove.
ReplyDeleteseveral history lessons found in this one...it's just great !

I'm not usually a "thrifty" kind of person, but I just found an amazing mirror I want to use when I photograph my nephew's wedding. Love this shot.
ReplyDeleteI would be right there with you. You just never know when you'll see something you really want.
ReplyDeletewhat a fun shot. We don't have any antique stores in our little community. I've often wished we did.
