Finley

 Finley enjoying his faux bone

Finley came to Southlake Hospital for a visit last week. Since Finley is a very good boy - even though he's only 11 months old - he's allowed inside his friend's room, which just happens to by husband's room too. Finley was on his best behavior. Patiently he listened to "people chatter", chewed on his bone, let strangers pet him, rested his eyes....

Part Australian cattle dog, Finley looks a bit like Digger  (seen here), a therapy dog who often visits the hospital on weekends.

Finley enjoying the patio behind the hospital cafeteria

Would you believe Finley and his siblings were found in a ditch in Alabama when they were just babies? Luckily for Finley, a lovely young Canadian woman fell in love with him, adopted him, had him checked out by a vet, and brought him to Canada.  Clearly he is loved...and he knows it.

I am linking with Saturday Critters HERE.

I wish to know if there are therapy dogs in our city, as I haven't seen one while my late father was in the old people's home(^^;)

  18. Therapy dogs are worth their weight in gold! We almost decided to train our golden to work as such a dog, but she was a bit too old at the time.

    Finley is a sweetheart.
