Third-Foor Garden

third floor, Southlake Hospital

Now that the weather has warmed up, flowers are blooming in the planters placed in the garden outside the gym.  The pointy skylight in the centre of this photo is the roof of a small chapel on the first floor.

 Reflection in patients' windows

A few lucky patients can look from their beds out onto the garden.

  7. Seems like a nice hospital. Our town is not making much progress in getting a new facility.

  8. It's wonderful when a hospital works on some the aesthetics which can also be important for patients' recovery. All those flowers have to help folks feel better.

  11. You're spending a lot of time at South Lake recently! Is it still surrounded by construction? I was last there in September, and couldn't find the entrance to Emergency.

  15. A flower garden (even in pots) is a different kind of chapel that can lift the spirits and help in the process of healing.
