Gosling "teenager" with still fluffy head
Not everyone is fond of Canada geese, but most everyone will agree that their goslings are cute.
Some of the goslings in my neighbourhood are starting to look a lot like their parents, although they are still smaller and some of their feathers are downy.
Hungry
I'm not sure what they were eating but I think it was clover.

Hi EG. Never seen these goslings this size and I do like. Canada geese. also your sunset in your last post is amazing. I see there are 2 seats, 1 for you and 1 for me!
ReplyDeleteAwesome to think about how fast these young ones will become high flyers like their parents.
ReplyDeleteand will grow up to be very handsome too
ReplyDeleteThey like to poop in the parks but that's a crappy reason for disliking them.
ReplyDeleteI don't see them very often so I'm always happy to meet some! They are so cute!
ReplyDeleteThe only time I disliked Canada geese was when they invaded during my wedding! Guess they thought we were the invaders.
ReplyDeleteI've seen lots of geese and lots of goslings, but never this age. They are a bit odd looking, but wills oon be as beautiful as their parents.
ReplyDeleteSuch lovely photos! Amazing!
ReplyDeleteInteresting fuzzy things. I suppose the grown ups make a mess or something. Why are they disliked?
ReplyDeleteDarla
Excellent captures on this one!
ReplyDeleteYes, they do make a mess, but I don't mind them.
LOVE the geese, but NOT what they leave behind.
ReplyDeleteAwww...cute photos. You've captured the teenage awkardness perfectly!
ReplyDeleteso very cute!
ReplyDeletethese are teens i could love. the wings shots are amazing... so soft and beautiful.
ReplyDeleteThese guys are so cute. We had several near our home along the pond.
ReplyDeleteI like seeing them in the park pond by our house when they winter here. We never see the young ones though so it was fun to see what they look like.
ReplyDeleteGreat shots of the teenager, still has the downy look.
ReplyDeleteI do agree that the goslings are cute. Don't think I've seen one in the "teenager" stage before. They're adorable as well.
ReplyDeleteWow! The goslings looks beautiful.
ReplyDeleteYou took great pictures!
I love all the details in the wing that you captured.
ReplyDeletewhat wonderful captures!! i always love the little ones, even the tweens!!
ReplyDeleteLove that close-up of the wing, EG!
ReplyDeleteWhat sweet little ones they are!
ReplyDeleteYou know they are cute. The ones at our pond grew so fast it seemed. Soon they fly back to their winter home. MB
ReplyDeleteSo nice! I want to stroke the head...
ReplyDeleteLovely photos!

Who doesn't love pictures of the kids and grandkids !?
ReplyDeleteBeautiful creature :)
ReplyDeleteCute series on the goslings!
ReplyDeleteInteresting to see the wing spread out and see on your capture it's made up of individual feathers! (only a city slicker can be amazed at that, lol)
ReplyDeleteAbout the green card, next time I see my daughters I'll tell them that it might be worth it to become a citizen (5 y. process), since they have a family with kids here.
So precious!
ReplyDeleteFantastic series of shots of a beautiful gosling for G ~ thanks,
ReplyDeleteartmusedog and carol (A Creative Harbor)
Love, love, LOVE this sweetie pie!! Darling.
ReplyDeleteWe don't have them this far south, but my mother always complained about them in New Jersey. It's strange because I don't ever remember seeing them as a child growing up there. They must have arrived after I left.
ReplyDeleteHow interesting that wing close up is. Not what I would have imagined it would look like. Great shots!
ReplyDeleteThat is a great close shot of the wing.
ReplyDeleteMaybe I will just whisper here: (I am one of those who is not fond of Canada Geese, though the little ones do seem cute . . . just wait until they grow into the landscape befowling machines they will inevitably become.)
ReplyDeleteI love how you caught them in action.
ReplyDeleteKind of: Here, click this pose. :)
ReplyDeleteGreat captures.
I have a love- hate relationship with Canada Geese ... Mostly love. Especially when I'm not around them ans stepping in what they deposit. ;)) Before we left Oregon for Alaska, we watched the adorable tiny baby balls of fluff, but we are missing the teenagers this year. So thanks for sharing yours. Now that I think of it, I'm kind of surprised we don't see them up here.
ReplyDeleteLovely young Canada geese♡♡♡ How great you could capture "the Stretching its wing" shots really sweet to see them♡♡♡
ReplyDeleteLots of Love and Hugs from Japan EG, xoxo Miyako*
You really did manage to get quite close.
ReplyDeleteLiving here in Hamilton, there are a ton of geese. Especially buy the bay or lake. They can be a nuisance, pooping everywhere and chasing people... but they are a beautiful bird as well.
ReplyDeleteThat "teenager's" head looks just like my hair in the morning. Great photos!
ReplyDeleteWonderful series...I'm noticing more geese on my walks but haven't spotted any young-uns♪ http://lauriekazmierczak.com/gathered-flotsam/
ReplyDeleteThey are cute and I do like them even though they trapped me in my barn one day and wouldn't let me out! I had to call animal control to come and move them...
ReplyDeleteI think they are cute- but I have never had to deal with their messes. Great close up shots!
ReplyDeleteDOn't they grow quickly?!
ReplyDeleteI agree, they are so very cute!
ReplyDeleteAdorable shots.
ReplyDeleteSo charming! You do such incredible things with that camera of yours!
ReplyDeleteThe goslings are cuter than the geese.
ReplyDeleteI do like geese, but mostly from far away...
;)
that's great photo detail. nicely done.
ReplyDeleteGreat captures. Nicely done. Yes the babies are cute. I like the 'teenager'. I came over for the Letter G today. I posted too. Mine aren't as pretty though!
ReplyDeleteHave a good week.
Sherry
