Muskrat

Muskrat out for a late afternoon swim

I was sitting on a rock waiting for a yellow-crowned night heron to appear - which it never did - when this guy paddled by totally unaware that I was there...until he heard a strange "click."

Swimming back to his hideout

I am linking to Saturday Critters HERE.

  7. What a fun view of the muskrat, his face reminds me a lot of a beaver. I've never seen one, I guess you don't want one in your garden.
