Wooden fantasy ship - aka playground!
W is for WOODEN.
Bow of the pirate's fantasy ship
Truth be told, this ship is flying the Canadian flag...so maybe it's MY imagination that it's a pirate ship.
Fantasy ship's sandbox
Fantasy ship's climbing wall

WOW Cam is indeed a very talented fella what kid would not want a place like this. Lucky son and his friends. Imaginations will be on high alert just the way it should be no technology needed. Perfect. Hug B
ReplyDeleteAll kinds of carpentry skills on display here.
ReplyDeleteFabulous play fort. Many hours will be spent by many kids and a few adults on that structure.
ReplyDeleteWow. Lucky kid! Our grandsons would sure enjoy playing on that.
ReplyDeleteWhat a creative fantasy ship. It looks like lots of love went into creating it.

wow! so neat!
ReplyDeleteIt puts all my endeavors to shame. But heck, I was 12. Must admit though the two floor 'house' with a small stove 20 feet up was a gem. A bit dangerous, but great in the winter to smoke ciggies and bring girls. I was dangerous! hahahaha
ReplyDeleteAnd if that doesn't keep the neighbourhood kids busy, nothing will!!!
ReplyDeleteWhat lucky kids to have such a grand play structure.
ReplyDeleteLet's play! I'm not sure who would love this more - my son or myself :)
ReplyDeleteWhat a lucky kid! I thought it was in a park when I first opened your post!
ReplyDeleteI love it!! Wow, my kids would have gone nuts over a place like this in our backyard when they were growing up!! Come to think of it, so would I and would probably have been playing with them instead of cleaning our house and cooking!!
ReplyDeleteWow! That kid is so fortunate to have a playhouse like that.
ReplyDeleteGosh I bet Cam is the most popular Dad ever right now, what an amazingly detailed pirate? ship :)
ReplyDeleteI think my little grandchildren would love to have a playdate with the Aiken children.
ReplyDeleteWhat a lucky little boy! I thought these were in a public park. Really nice.
ReplyDeleteThis is awesome! The ship is more than just a ship, it has everything!!! Did he use his own plans or find them somewhere? I would think a boy would never want to go in the house with this!
ReplyDeleteWonderful creation!
ReplyDeleteSo sorry about the shootings.
ReplyDeleteI could send you some of my Playmobils to inhabit the pirate ship!
That is a grand thing for the kids to play with. If they're Canadian pirates, they say thank you after robbing you.
ReplyDeleteI like these pieces so much. Well, I love wood for one thing, but they seem to much more user-friendly than the kind of overwrought plastic crap we've got in the children's playgrounds around here. Fun times!
ReplyDeleteKids like to play pirate, don't they? Ours likes to play pirate and robot. Doctor and pet vet too. She doesn't treat snakes or bugs.
ReplyDelete..
Hang in there! We love Canadians!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great playground!
ReplyDeleteLucky kids.
ReplyDeleteWow that is absolutely amazing!
ReplyDeleteI love all that natural wood.
ReplyDeleteThat's a extremely lovely play structure. Very lucky little boy.

ReplyDeletePeace :)
What a great playground.
ReplyDeleteWOW! At 68 I'd even enjoy playing on that thing.
ReplyDeleteI've clambered around on one nearly the same...had to watch my head, but I enjoyed it♪ http://lauriekazmierczak.com/walnut-whirl/
ReplyDeleteGreat post for W ~ What a creative person to build such a delightful wooden play piece ~
