G/Alphabe-Thursday

 Winter glitz #1

G is for GLITZ, winter glitz

Ice has a glitzy as well as a dangerous side. A year ago an ice storm coated much of Ontario with glitz.

Winter glitz #2

A wall of festive lights were still on during the day, which I'm sure was not quite as glitzy as it would have been at night.

Winter glitz #3

Ice and icicles on some rocks on the shore of Lake Simcoe.

  4. Icy and cold, but so very beautiful! I think I remember you had houses and trees and all surrounded by ice, and yes, it can be dangerous..
I hope you have had a merry x'mas and now I want to wish you a very happy New Year! :)
We had a lot of snow here during x'mas, but now the fields are green!

  15. OH, don't remind me of the 2013 ice storm, it was horrible. I only lost power for a couple of hours but some relatives had to spend a cold night with no form of heat.

  24. Pretty Winter glitzes, Ms. EG TG. I like it when we get some but none for tonight. The precipitation is correct but it won't get lower than 40F. Nothing freezes.
