Bench in dappled shade
Look closely and you can see snow on this bench's seat. No footprints either. No one has been sitting here in the shade for a while.
Bench under a greenhouse frame
No one has been sitting on this bench either. There are tons of shadows though resting below the frames.
Bench on the ice on Lake Simcoe
It may actually be on the edge of a dock. I can't tell as I used a telephoto lens to take this photo. There is a hole in the ice and some open water. I'm not sure what that's all about. There is also an extension cord and a plug on the bench and I have no clue what that's for either. Anyone have any ideas?
I am linking to Shadow Shot Sunday 2 HERE.
maybe a motor to keep the water hole open?
ReplyDeleteGood photos.
These benches aren't going to see any serious use for awhile yet!
ReplyDeleteNumber 2 and 3 are my favourites. The second shot is like something from a space movie!
ReplyDeletesomeone's been fishing? :)
ReplyDeleteI agree with Ciel, number 2 is my favourite, but here are so many angles plus light and shade..
ReplyDeleteI think someone could have been ice fishing! My favorite bench is the pretty last one.
ReplyDeleteAlways inviting.
ReplyDeleteI love to take pics of benches. Yours are good. I have no idea about the extension cords. I could sure invent a story though.
ReplyDeleteLovely wintry bench scenes ~ Great shots!
ReplyDeleteHappy Weekend to you,

I like the one under the tree the best - as long as it were Summer where the cooling shade that might be more appreciated - then!
ReplyDeleteAh, love your "bench" shadow post for the day!! And interesting, too, who was there sitting out in the snowy cold??? You do find the good ones! Hope your weekend is going well!! Enjoy!
ReplyDeleteHave no clue about the electric cord, but I sure would love to know! I bet it would be cold sitting there!
ReplyDeleteStrange about the cord, great bench shots!
ReplyDeleteI agree with William.
ReplyDeleteThese are awesome photos, but I haven't got the faintest clue why there would be an electrical cord there, Tina! You gonna need Columbo for that :)
ReplyDeleteHave a Beautiful Day!
Peace :)
Beautiful benches in sunshine :)
ReplyDeleteLike the second one because of the many shadow lines and I think the plug is for someones heating blanket :)))
Have a beautiful Sunday!

I love the bench in the second photo (as well as the photo itself) but haven't a clue about the electric cord.
ReplyDeletePerhaps it's just there for the shock value? hehe
I love that second shot! The extension cord? That's to plug in the portable space heater! If you're going to sit here you may as well be comfortable, right?
ReplyDeleteSuch beautiful shadow patterns. Love Kay's answer about the space heater, but I would add a double adapter and have some music too.
ReplyDeleteAll three waiting for better weather!
ReplyDeleteI agree with Kate, three nice pictures !
ReplyDeletea heated bench? that is odd to have the cord there.. maybe someone sat on it and used and electric blanket? can you tell i am reaching way out for the explanation? those shadows are so pretty
ReplyDeleteBeautifully structured photos, EG. I am ready for the snow to go, though!
ReplyDeleteIt could be a dock bubbler, and they can't get the extension out. Lovely mystery!
The second bench seems so forlorn with all that snow!
ReplyDeleteWatercolor Brush
Quite different, but equally cold!
ReplyDeletelove these! at first, I thought the greenhouse frame was monkey bars!
ReplyDeleteThere is something so mystifying in a bench, I like shooting them too. All of these are great captures.
ReplyDeleteThat last one is a mystery!
ReplyDeleteI like all three shots for different reasons but you would not catch me sitting on the last one. I think it might disappear!!
ReplyDeleteLOVE your benches!!
ReplyDeleteAlthough I am not an ice fisherman, would there ever be a reason to use a cord near water?!?!? That would be very odd!!!!...:)JP
ReplyDeleteQuite intriguing... The bench is on the shore of the lake? so close to the water, indeed... not a clue... Interesting vision of the 3 benches...
ReplyDeleteHave a sunny and happy week of March!
Sounds like ice fishing, but I'm no expert. I've never been ice fishing. Love the photos.
