Duffins Creek

Footbridge over Duffins Creek, Ajax

Sunshine, shadows and reflections - what you can't see (or hear) are the workmen repairing the bridge out of the photo to the left. Monday was a cool but lovely day here.

A few weeks ago, I saw a list of fill-ins in on Rose's blog.  I copied the list and filled in the blanks for the first five here.  Next I filled in groups of five here and here and here and here and a groups of four here .  Here are the last four:

30. If I were a city I’d probably be Toronto.  It’s the city I know best, although I admit I don't know the city itself super well/ However, I'm quite familiar with the Greater Toronto Area (GTA), the fourth largest metropolitan area in North America (behind Mexico City, New York City and Los Angeles). The GTA has much to offer!

31. If I were a door I’d be at the entrance of a beautiful garden.

32. If I were a pair of shoes I’d be comfy walking shoes spring, summer and fall, and boots good to -30°C in winter.

33. If I were a poem I’d be about appreciating the natural world around us and how important nature is to our well-being.

  5. If I were a city, I think I would be Vancouver -- at least in Canadian terms. Maybe Victoria although I know it less. TO is too much for me.

  7. Bridges seem to make good subject matter for photos ... this one is no exception. I also liked your church, door, and window photo in earlier post. Nice work, as always.

  10. glad we can't hear the noise while looking at this walkway bridge. i love nature like you do and i prefer it with only natures sounds.
I could be 4 different cities, all of which i know really well, Savannah, GA, Bradenton and St Peter Fl and the last is the one i would choose Ormond Beach FL...

  11. It does look like a nice day but where's all the greenery? Maybe the workmen stole it?

I have sure wished I had thought of some of your answers...

  21. A very substantial bridge. I like the way you framed the photo. The scene looks so peaceful so I'm ignoring the fact there might be pounding and drilling going on. ;)

I learned something new. I had no idea that Toronto was so darned big. Ignorant me.

  39. What a lovely bridge. I enjoyed reading your answers. I had to think about the city question. I think I'd choose to be Vancouver, like one of your other followers. It's the nicest city I've ever visited, not that I've seen all that many.
