Beaver swimming towards me
This guy/gal seemed fearless until all of a sudden it realized I was there. It slapped it's tail making a loud noise and big splash, then dove under to get away.
Another beaver just out of the water
I've always thought beavers were nocturnal but these guys were out in broad daylight.
I am linking to Saturday Critters HERE.
I like the second photo. You were right at eye level with her. I say it's female. I have a 50% chance of being right. ;)
ReplyDeleteGreat captures. I love their little hands.
ReplyDeleteStrange critters.

ReplyDeleteAh, love those beavers and busy ones they are indeed!! Terrific captures as always!! Such fun to see them "up close and personal"!! Hope your weekend is off to a great start! Enjoy!!
ReplyDeleteThey're busy at many hours of the day. I've found the best chance to get sight of them is around sunset.
ReplyDeleteWhat fantastic captures! Great job. I've seen beaver's dams in Tierra del Fuego, Argentina, but wasn't lucky to spot not even one cute little creature.
ReplyDeleteHard working Canadian symbols - working day and night! ;-)) Great shots, EG!

ReplyDeleteUp close and personal! So cool when there's eye contact with wild animals. Beavers are impressive animals in their brown rodent-y way.
ReplyDeleteBoth shots are glorious captures of the beaver. The first shot in particular shows a wonderful view of the swimming beaver.
ReplyDeleteSuper shots of these cute beavers.
ReplyDeleteOh goodness, lucky you, what a wonderful moment and beautiful captures of it too!
