Annuals planted in cargo bed of old pickup truck
Every year for the past three (and probably many more), this rusty, old pickup truck's cargo bed has been a planter filled with annuals.
Longer view
The road is higher up than the driveway so the truck is easily seen from the road when we drive southerly to Whitby. I think the flags are celebrating the Pan American Games and the Parapan American Games held this year in Toronto as the baseball games were played just down the highway a bit.
Such a functional old buddy. That's cool! His service would be mostly appreciated when people see how beautifully the field is done.
ReplyDeleteGood morning, I love the old red truck and the pretty flowers. It is a cheery sight to see from the road! Happy Monday, enjoy your new week!

ReplyDeleteWhat a great idea. I love the truck, and the flowers are beautiful.
ReplyDeleteAt glance I though the truck was transporting flower plants! Nice use with the cargo bed of the abandoned truck. Stunning in red
ReplyDeleteThe truck sets those flowers off perfectly! What a fun idea.
ReplyDelete=)
I like that idea and it makes for a striking photograph.
ReplyDeleteThat's nice.
ReplyDeleteIt dresses up the old truck beautifully!
ReplyDeleteQuite a handy truck to drive!
ReplyDeleteI'd like to have a few of those plants! Been out of the loop for days without cell or wifi in our lovely Lake Michigan cottage in Door County, Wi. Wish I could live here again!
ReplyDeleteRight now briefly visiting a coffee shop to use cell and pick up messages. Will visit again soon! Still posting automatically, tho!
That's a great way to showcase the flowers!
ReplyDeleteA good idea and a nice subject for some photos!
ReplyDeleteI have seen a lot of goods transported over the years that have been less than healthy so to see these flower beds being trucked about is definitely a refreshing change!
ReplyDeleteHa. A good use for a once fine truck.
ReplyDeleteWonderful idea!

ReplyDeleteThis is just so cool! A wonderful idea...glad you have shown it to us.
ReplyDeleteGreat photo. The truck and the flowers are a great combination.
ReplyDeleteThat puts the old truck to good use doesn't it? Far better to make a lovely wayside attraction like that than have it rusting away with no one caring about it.
ReplyDeleteThat red truck has something endearing!
ReplyDeleteI thought they were tomatoes!
ReplyDeletePretty!
ReplyDeleteGreat Red Truck with all the beautiful flowers!
ReplyDeleteWhat an unusual planter! But I like it.
ReplyDeleteFlowers in a dump truck--that's an image you don't see every day! Whoever thought to do this was brilliant. Love!!!
ReplyDeleteUpcycling at its best.
ReplyDeleteThis is one of the most interesting planters I've yet seen...and it looks like there's minimal weeding once the flowers are going. Bravo!
ReplyDeleteWhat a unique photo ~ love the red truck for a very large planter for florals!
ReplyDeleteGreat shot for OWT !
Happy week to you,
artmusedog and carol

ReplyDeleteBravo, Tina!!

Goodness that is a truck load! Lovely.
ReplyDeleteThis is so much fun! I love it.
ReplyDeleteThat is a great way to make use of an old vehicle.
ReplyDeleteIt's so pretty. The gardener must have spent a lot of time.
ReplyDeleteGood to see they found some use for the old truck! I'd imagine the flower gardens are probably some of the prettiests loads the truck has ever carried.
ReplyDeleteHow lovely - in a old truck there are so much flowers. Very pretty.
ReplyDeleteGreat way to display them all!
ReplyDeleteI love to see a good repurposing.
ReplyDeleteThat is a great idea. :)
