Lake Scugog Fog

 Foggy morning - Lake Scugog

A "stationary front" has been hanging over Ontario for a few days and boy! it sure has been foggy. Some days the fog has not lifted until lunch time and then has returned before sundown. I think driving in thick fog is just as dangerous - or perhaps more dangerous - than driving in snow, but don't get me going on how risky some people drive!

A couple of days ago the fog wasn't too think in East Gwillimbury so my husband and I took a road trip to Port Perry. The closer we got to Lake Scugog, the thicker the fog got.

Fishers on a boat ramp

Colourful fishers were out. I don't know if anyone caught any fish, though.

I am joining Wednesday Waters HERE.

  1. Glad you said they were fishing. Actually, I first thought they were all watching something out on the water.

  6. i was guessing what all those people were doing and did not think fishing. they are so close together looks like someone could get a hook in the other OR get those lines all tied together.. it is a great photo though. and i love the magic of the trees in the fog, but would not want to drive in it. you are so right, to many crazy drivers out there

  12. I agree EG, driving in fog is pretty scary, I think I've only ever had that experience once. As well as your gorgeous foggy image I'm still enjoying the name Lake Scugog :)

  13. It was black ice that caught me out a few years back so I dread driving in any bad weather. Nice splash of colourful fishermen in your shot!

  21. I am spending 1,5 hours in my car each day to and from work, and conditions like this can be so risky.
Especially your first photo is beautiful though! :)

  26. I love this shot...and love foggy shots in general. They are sort of like snow...make any scene a wonderful scene.

I really have to pick up my courage to get out and drive in foggy weather now.

  30. I like the atmosphere of fog and like the mood it creates in your first shot. And the fisher people? I'm imagining fish swimming along their array of lines like window shoppers. "Hey, Fred! Get a load of this lure! This guy's serious."

  31. So love the atmosphere of fog... for walking. Driving is quite another matter. Love all the coloured jackets lined up.
