Old But Cared For

 Unpainted barn under moody sky

I really like the look of weathered wood on a barn, especially when the barn is well-cared for.

    What a contrast between the heavy sky, and the bright sun on the barn.
    It gives me mixed emotions, like a Bronte story.

    Oh, I do SO agree with your!!! Superb captures as always and love those gray, grumpy skies!! I agree with you about the unpainted barn, all it lacks is some paint, but otherwise it does look so well cared for!! Yep, you've done it again and made my afternoon!!     Beautiful shots! I love the look of light in the foreground against that kind of dark sky. I've decided that's something I like about winter (I'm looking for reasons to stay cheerful).

    It's not often you see them unpainted EG.. it's almost as if the paint is there to protect against the weather conditions. This one is doing pretty well without the paint.

    i like the way the light hits the barn in the 2nd shot, moody but the barn glows... when i saw the title, old but cared for i thought you had me and my hubby on your blog today.
