Winter Shadows

Whitby Harbour

Not many people were out on the pier even though the sun was shining. It was a pretty day but I suspect most people were out Christmas shopping or wrapping presents.

I am linking to Shadow Shot Sunday 2 HERE.

  1. Christmas isn't calm - I know about it - we go on a trips and many different things. I with my family go everywhere. We become calm after 25 December. I greet! :)

  2. Yep, much the same here. I went hiking on a trail where I normally would expect to meet quite a few people. But as someone said, they've probably all gone shopping or or spending some quiet time with family members.

  3. Lovely fine shadow lines create an interesting pattern. I am grateful when the holiday crowds are somewhere else. I feel i can breathe freely.

  4. Nicely composed and nicely patterned! It was quiet in our neighborhood today but then there are no big stores nearby!

  5. I made the mistake of going in one of those malls today and came out with a splitting headache, at a time when I am already under the weather.

I rather prefer the quiet of this spot.

  6. I'll take a day out with my camera taking pictures than shopping any day.

  14. These are very nice diagonal shadows from the fine that keeps us on land and out of the water. Although I'd prefer a walk along the water in June instead of December with less pronounced shadows. Either season, this is lovely place!
