Harbour at Newcastle

 Now (actually last week)

What a difference the light makes. The day my husband and I visited this harbour  last week the light was harsh, not a cloud in the sky. These are Mute Swans that stay in the vicinity all winter and were a bit miffed that I hadn't brought any seed to feed them.

FYI: The swans I posted last week HERE are Trumpeter Swans, which I neglected to tell you.

Then (end of December 2015)

As you can see in the second photo, the sky was mostly overcast.

I am joining Wednesday Waters HERE.

  12. Beautiful photos and they portray very well the difference light makes in a shot. Each has its own particular beauty, though. I usually get better photos when the sky is overcast, as a bright sunny day provides too much contrast.

  31. The beautiful swans will probably be as glad to see spring as I will. It might be a little intimidating being mobbed by swans for food.
