Gobble, Gobble/ Camera Critters

Wild turkey

Question: Why did the turkey cross the road?
Answer: He wanted to prove he wasn't a chicken.

But actually, these guys were big chickens - afraid of me and my camera, but not of the car! So I stayed inside and took photos out the window.

Monday is Canada's Thanksgiving, a BIG day for turkeys to be afraid...very afraid.

Does wild turkey taste different than farm-raised turkey? I would guess so.

Funny joke. You Canadians are so droll!

I saw some wild turkeys in Colorado but they ran too fast for my camera!

And yes, that water can eat golf balls also. At least it has eaten several of mine!

Happy Thanksgiving to you!!
No wonder the turkeys were trying to hide--but he would need to fatten up a bit. LOL
Here is a fun view of potatoes:

Happy Thanksgiving on Monday! What a GREAT turkey photo! Either the turkey was really close or you have a big telephoto lens or both!

As I was heading (driving) down the hill from our home several days ago, I had to stop the car and wait as several families were walking right on the highway (country road). So funny!

Of course I didn't have my camera. ;)

Great shot - they do look huge. I'm a vegetarian so they'll be safe with me! ;-)

They really are turkeys, being afraid of you and the camera but not of the car. Duh, huh?
Good idea, "shooting" them from the car. Nice results.

No wonder they are afraid, many of them were sacrificed this weekend.

I hope you have a wonderful Thanksgiving.
The only way I've been able to capture wild turkeys is through the car window as well. But you did get a great picture.

Love the subtly different tones of the turkey's feathers! And beautiful bokeh in contrast!

Happy Thanksgiving, T.G. We were in the Cowansville, Eastern Township (Quebec) a few years back for Thanksgiving. It was a very quiet day.

We have both kinds of wild turkeys in Texas.

Nice contrast between the browns in the turkey and the colors behind. And go ahead... enjoy your turkey tomorrow, EG! (Am not being cynical.)

Like how the turkey stands out from the colorful background :)

That background sure is perfect for the colors of the turkey.
