Spring Azure/ Macro Monday

Tiny spring azure butterfly (Clelastrina argiolus) female

Yesterday while I was photographing spring wildflowers in a favourite  forest of mine, my husband made a  little friend. Isn't she cute sitting on his index finger? Don't her eyes make you melt?

'Tis a real cutie for sure...but I would have called this a plain ol' moth, not a Clelastrina argiolus. You're so smart!

And where did you live before Ontario?

I think that was the butterfly I was chasing around the garden today but didn't get! It was such a pretty bright blue until it stopped and then it folded it's wings (for a millisecond). Great capture!

Tiny and lovely.

A terrific capture! My hubby had a butterfly land on his nose once, and it was the one time I didn't have my camera!

How do we know it's not really a giant holding a regular-sized butterfly? Neat capture.

Adorable. It is so special to have one of these little creatures land on ones' finger.

Love your butterfly. Hope you didn’t get chiggers while shooting it like I did shooting my yellow weedlet flower. There was a butterfly close by when I went stomping through the high grass. Not good. When will I learn? Yours is just too pretty. Now I know you all are really having spring up your way.

Great macro, they never sit still for me.

Difficult capture. They just keep fluttering and seem so restless. Maybe this decided to take some "rare;y required" rest !

So tiny! Isn't it good luck to have a butterfly land on you? I'm sure it should be.
