Camouflage/Sunday Best

Green dragonfly

I must confess that my husband saw this dragonfly first. The critter blended so well into it's environment, that I could have easily passed it  by without a clue that it was nearby hanging onto twigs in the tall grass.

I like the beauty of its frail wings!
And I also like Myra's eyes in yesterday's post!

my hubby is great at pointing things out for me, two sets of eyes are better than one. this photo is absolutely stunning. he looks like he is looking at you, i enlarged it and checked out all the detail, he has cute little eyes and i like all the twigs and lines and colors. can you tell i like it?

Wow! This is too good.

Great capture. It looks a lot like a common green darner. I shot a few late in August. They really do blend into their environment incredibly well.

I never seem to see them sitting anywhere - just buzzing around!

I find they leave about the time I get the camera focused, so I applaud your capture!!
