W/Alphabe-Thursday

 Web #1

Spiders may be scary but they are also amazing! I was delighted a couple of months ago to find these webs beside a woodland path. I think they are beautiful.

I think spider webs are beautiful, especially when the light hits them just right. You have some awesome shots here!

Spiders can be scary but their webs are nice unless you walk through one with your face while hiking at night.

I love spider webs. I find them fascinating. And you've caught them so well here. :)

Beautiful photos! I find the webs so amazing and intricately woven and strong. The 3rd image is nice with the spider in the centre.

I don't like spiders! I run away screaming from them :) I don't get how they can make such beautiful webs though...

Orb weaving spiders are amazing. One summer had one that made a new web each evening next to a yard light. The spider worked really hard at making that beautiful, symmetric web, but I'm sure it ate well with all the insects attracted to the light. Your photos are wonderful.

beautiful! The light in the first photos is amazing!

Spider webs are one of my favorites.

They are ugly if find at home.

They can be so beautiful in the wild.

These are fabulous! I have yet to get a good picture of a spider web. Any hints?

Excellent photography. It ain't easy taking a good photo of a web. Nice light is what makes these so special.

Wonderful webs! Perfectly pictured.

(I'm not at all afraid of spiders outside. Don't like them in the house.)

those are some amazing pictures. I love going out in the woods or the garden when the dew is still on the webs. I've merged my digital accounts and since they require one common user name I am now blogging as kelley instead of kaye. kelley is my actual name.

Webs with just a bit of moisture from the dew are just exquisite, aren't they? Love your photos!

Oh hooray! You didn't get confused by my little extra early X post! I changed the post and W is totally correct for this week!

these are stunning. I walked into one in Savannah, GA -- and bounced off of it. Mighty creatures, spiders.

I recently read a biography of E.B. White and learned that he spent years doing research about the details of how pigs and spiders lived, including arcane details about how to weave webs, before he wrote Charlotte's Web.

Beautiful webs! They are almost so perfect that they don't look real.

Judy said...

They are all gorgeous!! Too bad the weather has gotten too cold for spiders now...

Ruth Hiebert said...

They are gorgeous. The first one reminds me of a set of doilies I crocheted many years ago. It was called a spider web pattern and looked just like this web.

I absolutely agree! Spiders are scary and for the most part I don't like them. There webs however... different story. As you show they make for great pictures!

Incredible. The lighting in each is just perfect. And I'm so jealous of your green! (Even though the photos might not be recent) (It's snowing here right now...)

You caught the webs perfectly! I was just thinking, spiders would be able to knit with perfectl even stitches (today I seem to be randomly inclined:) )

Ida said...

They are stunning.
Just wanted to say I am now following your blog.

Wonderful shots!
I don't like spiders at all, but can't help be in awe of their beautiful constructions.

SarahBeth said...

I certainly don't care for spiders but I admire their homes! I hate to pull down a web, but sometimes you have to in order to get in your door! Your photos are beautiful!

Jenny said...

What wonderful webs.

Although I will say, the ones in the corner of my back porch are not nearly as appealling!

Shudder!

Thanks for linking.
