Blue Jay at Feeder

 Peanuts!

Peanuts are rich in protein and fat and attract many birds to feeders.

 Yum!

This blue jay was so attracted that it hardly noticed I was only a few feet away with my camera.

Are you looking at me?

I am connecting to Stewart M's Wild Bird Wednesday HERE

I love the way birds look at you trying to photograph them, they either fly away or stay and pose.

Wonderful shots! Our jays like peanuts but we put them out in the shell a handful at a time. They spot them immediately.

Many people don't like bluejays because they chase away other birds, but I've always liked them. They are so beautiful as your photos show.

I am seeing more and more of these peanut feeders on blogs, perhaps I should get one also, as if I don't spend enough $$$ on bird food as it is already.

Pretty little guy, and is there anything cheekier than a jay?

Blue jays are cocky. Maybe that's because they are so good-looking!

I love the blue jays. These guys look quite a bit different from the ones I knew in North Carolina and Virginia.

He's a beauty. Ours love peanuts too, but I can never get very close unless I'm in a bird blind. Nice shots!

That little bit of green tinge on his tail and belly makes me think he has been meandering in a freshly cut yard. I love the Blue Jays. They are so entertaining and beautiful. Great pictures ...

Great shots. My mother despises blue jays and sends them packing anytime they get near our feeders! I think they're gorgeous.
