Early September

 Juvenile Ruby-throated hummingbird

A few hummingbirds are still here in Ontario, have not left for their winter homes.

 Male Goldfinch

Many goldfinches stay here all year round. This one is still wearing his fancy breeding colours.

 Frog in large pond

Frogs are still out and about

A week or two, and the last of the hummers will be gone. Pretty shots!

A sweet hummingbird!

There are still hummers in NB too but just not at my feeders. Since we were away for 2 weeks they ran dry so I guess they've found another food source around the area. I filled them again so hope to catch a straggler or two before they fly south. Nice captures. Have a great week!

I love the emerald frog! And the hummer is so good that it almost looks artificial.

You only have to put a photo of a hummingbird on your blog to make me very jealous. I love the level of detail you've achieved on the goldfinch shot too.

Again this year, we had very few hummingbirds. :-(
But I did see 4, and last year, only one.

I just love the photograph of the frog. Really wonderful image!
