Beaver River in February

 Beaver River, Beaverton, Ontario (Canada)

This photo was taken a couple of weeks ago before we experienced a deep freeze.

Ice floating down the river

Further inland the river was covered with ice, but it was breaking up and floating downstream.

I am joining Wednesday Waters HERE.

February has been a month of rollercoaster temperatures. Yesterday the GTA got the most snow of the winter. It's a photographer's paradise out there.

I'm trying to visualize what this place looks like in the summer. It's beautiful in the winter, so it must be gorgeous in the summer!

A flowing river in the Winter is such a treat (even in the Great White North :), it looks warmer if not feeling much warmer. Spring awaits!

Any open water looks good in winter.

It seems a bit early for breaking up...

The beavers must be disorientated...

Beaver River looks busy having a last dance before the music is silent and cold.
