Woodland Path

Black squirrel

The squirrel is climbing a cross piece that stabilizes one of the legs on a rustic cedar fence along a conservation trail.

Sitting on the fence's top rail

Tuesday last was a wonderfully warm day, perfect for squirrels and humans to enjoy the outdoors.

Z/Alphabe-Thursday

 Donkey at petting ZOO

Z is for ZOO - petting ZOO, actually

Now that most Canadian kids live in urban areas or in towns and villages, farm animals are nearly as exotic to them as animals from Africa and Asia. Only kid-friendly animals usually appear at petting zoos, so children are free to actually touch them gently with their hands.

 Alpaca (I think)

Adults like me find it fun to get up close too.

 Goats and sheep

Even goats and sheep are "foreign" to most Canadians so are great parts of a petting zoo.

Pony

And so are ponies.
