Honeysuckle/ Today's Flowers

Honeysuckle is a vine I grow in my back garden. It started out as a bargain plant (one that was nearly dead) a year ago. I was pleased (and surprised) that it survived the winter last year. It bloomed beautifully this summer and last week produced a few bonus blossoms. ;-)

  1. Beautiful. I hated honeysuckle when I was a kid because we were constantly fighting it to keep it off of fences. Now that I don't have to do that I think it's pretty. :)

  12. Beautiful! I'll always remember honeysuckle growing outside my bedroom window as a kid. I used to open the window at night and just lay there smelling it's sweet scent. :-) Thanks for the memory.

  17. Yours seems a bity different from the ones I see.. I like nothing better on a barmy summer evening than walking past a hedgerow where wild honey suckle grows... the heavy sented pufume is a joy... and the butterflys and early evening hawkmoth are attracted to them in droves.. Another one of my favourites I've seen on 'Todays Flowers'

  22. Wow...those are gorgeous! We have the invasive wild type of honeysuckle that you constantly fight. This is really pretty and I assume it is more controlable.
