What makes me think this robin has had too many fermented mountain ash (rowan) berries?
And here's a BONUS photo for Ruby Tuesday, ;-) A sugar maple with orange-red leaves. Happy Ruby Tuesday!

I'm guessing he fell out of the tree.
ReplyDeleteI did see a robin, like this, today, playing with a feather. He would toss it and then with wings flapping, go get it and toss it again.
In all my lifetime I never saw any bird playing with a feather and having as much fun as this one was having. I thought it was an insect of some kind and grabbed a camera and went out. All I found (he left) was this lonesome feather. Wet from his mouth.
Ahh, he made a deposited on your Car? Whatever, he and the tree are lovely.
ReplyDeleteLovely photos with lovely reds!

That robin does look rather unsteady!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous sugar maple. We don't have that many colorful trees here in the fall...just a few.
Wow, just breathtaking - both of them! What a real Ruby Tuesday treat you gave us today.
ReplyDeleteAn inebriated robin and a gorgeous maple tree, perfect! BJ
ReplyDeleteSo glad your shots have such tremendous clarity, wish I knew how you mamage it. Do you get the birds drunk on purpose so they are too groggy to fly away? It's a puzzlemnt.
ReplyDeleteI've been doing some Stephen Leacock maths: if A, the bird ate 6tippsy B berries then it follows that C would certainly be wobbly. Therefore, how many leaves are on the maple tree?
Maybe the robin is wondering which berries to eat? ;p
ReplyDeleteThat sugar maple is sure pretty. We don't have any like that here. In fact until late November or later we don't have any trees that change their leaf colors.
ReplyDeleteHappy Ruby Red Tu, and stay away from the drunken robins. :-)
..
