Carly at Ellipsis Monday has challenged us to "hit" her with our best shots. Bwahahaha! I HOPE I haven't taken my best shot yet. I'm still a beginner! I took up photography about two years ago when I discovered how
Who knew I'd so thoroughly enjoy searching for photogenic subjects? Who'd have guessed I like talking in pictures (in addition to words)?
What I like to shoot best are subjects people pass by but don't really "see." Macro shots are my faves, but in December, January and February tiny white and brown subjects get old, old, OLD fast.
So this winter I have challenged myself to see the bigger picture, so to speak: landscapes, skies...
So what about my best shot? Would you believe the horse ate it? I didn't think so. Stay tuned - it's yet to come.

Hard to believe that your consider yourself a beginner. I love all the photos you post. I may not be your #1 fan, but I'm right up there. Love the horse, very humorous capture.
ReplyDeleteI guess I got my first digital about the same time you did---and oh what fun it is learning---!!!
ReplyDeleteOl Fuzzy is laughing at the idea of a "perfect" photo. Hey they all are perfect. MB
Lovely :)
ReplyDeleteAt first glance I thought the horse was covered with snow!!
You have to be the best "beginner" I've ever seen. You know by now, I love the horses. This is another great one.
ReplyDelete:)
ReplyDeleteOh BIG GRIN! What a nice smile that horsey has! :) I just love horses, they are extremely photogenic, and this one seems to be in particular! Great shot! Thanks for participating this week!

I can't decide if that horse is a strange colour-mix or is wearing a white blanket-coat.
ReplyDeleteI love it! He's horsing around! I am an amateur as well. Spent my first year photographing my cats! I'm still using a P&S and dreaming of my first DSLR! :)
ReplyDeleteWekk, I sure have enjoyed yoru photos and IF your best shot is still to come that means we'll just have to keep returnign to see if you got it yet, huh? Ü
ReplyDeleteI especially have enjoyed yoru snow shots. . . we got snow yesterday but it all melted before 10 AM. sigh

You're a very fast learner!
ReplyDeleteVery nice! That horse looks comfortably fit for winter; a beautiful animal!
ReplyDeleteYour photos don't look like you're a beginner. I absolutely love your sky watch picture below.
ReplyDeleteThat horse is saying "You're beginner? I don't think so!"
ReplyDeleteYou are NOT a beginner and all your shots are good! In fact, better than good.
ReplyDeleteI can hear that horse now saying" Get me out of this snow. I want grass!".
ReplyDeleteYou certainly do so well for a beginner! I could take lessons from you..
B.
I never think of you as starting out. All I can say is you have a photographer's eye and I sip my neme or no neme prely on the image such as this, which just makes me smile.
ReplyDeleteLove the horse, it seems to be laughing... I spent a very pleasent time catching up here.... and the picture that I really liked here today was the 'Winding Lanes' What a beautiful scene that makes and it fired my imagination
ReplyDeleteTom
This put a big smile on my face!
ReplyDeleteWOW!
ReplyDeleteIf you're a beginner then I'm a rank amateur. This picture, for example -- such a humorous yet totally wonderful capture. And of a horse! I have been pretty much limited to cats and dogs. Very nice job!
ReplyDeleteThat totally made me laugh along with the horse. Great shot!
