Peering Over the Fence/ Sky Watch

Early spring sunset

The snow is gone but the grass has not yet turned green yet. In this low light the field looks grey but it is really brown.

  1. A great picture as always. LOL But it is true.
I missed yesterdays and it is beautiful too. I like all the gingerbread on the old houses.
I love a landscape shot though. MB

  6. I liked the way you made the foreground stand out like that and not just a silhouette - flash?

    A very nice job.

  7. That a gorgeous sunset!! We've got the same situation here - whatever color we get is in the sky. Waiting for green grass, even dandelions would be good!

  8. Same sun is here in my photo too. We have a little bit of snow on the ground. ;-)

  9. Very beautiful sunset, and I like how the grey-brown of the fence and the field contrast with the sky.

  14. My grass is not perceptibly greener than it was in January (but it was never completely brown). I love it when you do fence shots!

  21. great photo, pleased to see no snow. We went to visit our new house on Tuesday and there was still patches of snow through Hockley Valley and at the house.

  23. Beautiful--do you always get a big thrill capturing sunsets/sunrises? I do, and I have got a ga-zillion of them. But it never fails to fill me with wonder to see skies like this.

  24. Now this is weird. I think you peered over the fence and got the lighter version of my image. Now I know where my light went. It's an amazing site.

  25. I love trast of monochrome tones and a very colourful sky. You still manage to let the shapes of everything come forward with details and all instead of having them as black silhuettes. I find sunset photos often make the landscape quite dark.

PS. I have a tripod for close ups on the moon and night time shots.

  30. A wonderful photograph...we now have green grass and some beautiful early green crops, some spring flowers and I saw my first leaf(I stress LEAF, cause I only saw one!)today. Tomorrow is suppose to be 18*C around here so maybe some more leaves will decide to grace us! Thank you for sharing and have a lovely weekend.
