Early spring sunset The snow is gone but the grass has not yet turned green yet. In this low light the field looks grey but it is really brown.

A great picture as always. LOL But it is true.
ReplyDeleteI missed yesterdays and it is beautiful too. I like all the gingerbread on the old houses.
I love a landscape shot though. MB
What a spectacular photo, you captured that sunset perfectly. I love the fencepost in the foreground, a beautifully composed shot.
ReplyDeleteA grand sunset! I love the old house in the last post too. If wall could talk.
ReplyDeleteSuch a desolate and magnificent scene! Really excellent with the post in the foreground which captures you for but a moment until the amazing colors of the gorgeous sunset strike you! EG... WOW!
ReplyDeleteAmazing capture. It's just beautiful.
ReplyDeleteI liked the way you made the foreground stand out like that and not just a silhouette - flash?
ReplyDeleteA very nice job.
That a gorgeous sunset!! We've got the same situation here - whatever color we get is in the sky. Waiting for green grass, even dandelions would be good!
ReplyDeleteSame sun is here in my photo too. We have a little bit of snow on the ground. ;-)
ReplyDeleteThis is LOVELY.

Very beautiful sunset, and I like how the grey-brown of the fence and the field contrast with the sky.
ReplyDeleteYou do capture pretty colors in the sky. Excellent.
ReplyDeleteThat is such a pretty picture!!
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing.
Happy SWF
Wonderful textures you have shown in this lovely setting sun. Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful sky to see over the fence. Simply gorgeous.
ReplyDeleteMy grass is not perceptibly greener than it was in January (but it was never completely brown). I love it when you do fence shots!
ReplyDeleteSuch an interesting view! Unusual and beautiful.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful view! Makes me want to go for a little ride with my barb mare and head for that sunset! :-)
ReplyDeleteGorgeous shot, as always! The colors are so magnificent! You do manage to capture some really dramatic skies! Love it!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous! There's just about every color in your sunset. Looks like a very peaceful landscape...
ReplyDeleteThe grey sets off the sky perfectly. Another excellent shot. You've got a great eye!
ReplyDeleteSo wonderful colors on the sky! And I always love your shots with the fences!
ReplyDeletegreat photo, pleased to see no snow. We went to visit our new house on Tuesday and there was still patches of snow through Hockley Valley and at the house.

With colors like that overhead, makes up for the still brown ground. Lovely composition
ReplyDeleteBeautiful--do you always get a big thrill capturing sunsets/sunrises? I do, and I have got a ga-zillion of them. But it never fails to fill me with wonder to see skies like this.
ReplyDeleteNow this is weird. I think you peered over the fence and got the lighter version of my image. Now I know where my light went. It's an amazing site.
ReplyDeleteI love trast of monochrome tones and a very colourful sky. You still manage to let the shapes of everything come forward with details and all instead of having them as black silhuettes. I find sunset photos often make the landscape quite dark.
ReplyDeletePS. I have a tripod for close ups on the moon and night time shots.
Beautiful end to the day. Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteLooks almost like it's a half black & white photo.
ReplyDeleteWOW! A gorgeous sunset!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful skywatch picture. Seems like it would be awesome to watch that big field turn from brown to green over the weeks.
ReplyDeleteGreat moment to have a meditation. Nice shot!
ReplyDeleteHappy SWatching!
A wonderful photograph...we now have green grass and some beautiful early green crops, some spring flowers and I saw my first leaf(I stress LEAF, cause I only saw one!)today. Tomorrow is suppose to be 18*C around here so maybe some more leaves will decide to grace us! Thank you for sharing and have a lovely weekend.
ReplyDeleteSmiles
Mmmm- Gorgeous! These colors have been around here too.
ReplyDeleteB.
Some great colours. Beautiful.

Beautiful! The rolling hills could be here, but we now have green, at least where the fields have been planted.
ReplyDeleteLove your composition, I am a big fan of putting in the odd fencepost to give a picture a depth of field.
ReplyDeleteThat's some sky. Beautiful
ReplyDeleteA monochrome field and a multicolored sky, just wonderful.
ReplyDeletetruly stunning image. It touches my spirit.
ReplyDeleteawesome colors! what a gift to share...
ReplyDeleteWhat a amazing photo!
ReplyDeleteHappy weekend.
The greyness makes a good foil t the colourful sunset.
