Homes and cottages on the Talbot River
The Talbot River is part of the Trent-Severn Waterway, which runs east/west connecting Lake Huron to to Lake Ontario.

From the looks of things, I would say flooding is not a problem. Lovely how the yards transition to the water.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful shot, but I still think you are jumping the gun a bit, since it is only 9 AM Tuesday.
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful scene you've taken. This photo is wonderful.
ReplyDeleteA beautiful view and picture.. I have missed your last four posting so I was happy to play catch up todays.. Your canal bridge with supports reminds me of a local bridge which carries a motorway over our river Tame
ReplyDeleteThe river is their road. Wouldn't that be so much fun to just jump in your boat and putt-putt to visit the neighbors. MB
ReplyDeletewhat a wonderful place to live.
ReplyDeleteOh my, that's a gorgeous scene! Wonderful!
ReplyDeleteI think it would be neat to own a home along this beautiful river. It looks so peaceful.
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful place for a week-end retreat, isn't it?
ReplyDeleteJst dropping by to say "hi" today.

Perfect spot for Watery Wed.!
ReplyDeleteAnother beautiful area, EG. Those homes look amazingly gorgeous... Thanks!
ReplyDeleteHugs,

What strikes me about this picture is the way the humidity in the air softens the scene almost like a water color painting. It is dry here so we don't see that and when we were in the midwest earlier this month, I noticed the same thing in the pictures that I took.
ReplyDeletebeautiful, are they seasonal homes or year round homes.??
ReplyDeletePerfect retreats. So calm!
ReplyDeleteA paradise!
ReplyDeleteGreat postcard!

ReplyDeleteAnother beautiful waterway! Waht a blessing to live so close to so many!
ReplyDeleteI understand why you post early for Wednesday --in part of the world, it is alredy Wednesday!
Could I make a request? Would it be possible to take the same shot when those leaves turned yellows or reds? I love the sight but I'm sure it has a different feel to it when the trees don their fall garb.
ReplyDeleteI have my watery image at http://ewok1993.wordpress.com
Looks like a beautiful place to live. It's funny that the river is part of the Trent-Severn waterway, because the River Severn here in Wales is just down the road :)
ReplyDeleteBeautiful view EG!!
ReplyDeleteHave a great wednesday :)

A photo of beauty is a joy for ever! That goes for your photos! Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteWonderful image! If I had to give it a name I would call it 'greenery and water'.
ReplyDeleteNice shot. I thought I saw a spot where the sun had popped through but guess not. It is a beautiful scene and well worth the time to photograph it.
ReplyDeleteThanks for helping me to make history.

Hi Judi,
ReplyDeleteProbably both as this area is only an hour and a half from Toronto. The roads are good.
Looks like a lovely river with all the cottages. So they can drive their boats right up to their house. How cool.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful! It would be fabulous to live on a waterway like this!
