Basement of old barn in Sutton, Ontario
This is a closeup of a barn that houses cattle. Although some windows are broken and the roof needs repair, the rest of the farm looks fairly prosperous. I'm guessing the farmer just hasn't yet gotten around to fixing the barn.

I really like this sepia shading, very nice & very cool... as always
ReplyDeleteI like old buildings and you seem to capture them in such a way that makes them beautiful.
ReplyDelete~~Hugs~~
The barn may need some repairs, but it is a perfect subject for Sepia Scenes.
ReplyDeleteOr maybe he likes it "shabby chic". Just kidding. I love the reflections in the broken window!
ReplyDeleteThe great variety of textures in the building show up so well in your sepia photo.

:) maybe he leaves it open for ventilation? Cows do produce some mighty methane fumes!
ReplyDeleteThis is a nice creative perspective on a barn...quite different...and I like it a lot.
ReplyDeleteMethinks the farmer better get busy if he's gonna fix that barn, though, or it's going to disappear before his very eyes!
Sepia tones are perfect for this picture. I love the broken out windows!
ReplyDeleteIt's a pity that the farmer forgot to take care that barn, it's nice and big!
ReplyDeleteGreat shot!

Grand old barn. Barns seem made for sepia or the other way around.

Do ya think the cattle wish the farmer would fix up the place, EG? :) Good sepia tone.
ReplyDeleteGreat sepia picture, EG.... I'll bet that the barn is the LAST place that gets any renovation.

Happily, the cows and cattle do not know about style and accouterments and thus do not care about the broken windows. They merely care about grazing and grain instead. A 'moovelous' take on an old barn!
ReplyDeleteThe sad part about not getting around to it is the longer you don't get around to it the more rapid decay and sad state it becomes - just a thought.
ReplyDeletePerfect sepia - as always!
It reminds me of my cousin's old barn! Nice snap!
ReplyDeleteIt does look like it needs some TLC. Cool shot EG. You have some of the neatest barns in your area.
ReplyDeleteB.
I love this photo. It's perfect in sepia. The fact that the barn is a bit shabby makes it really interesting.
ReplyDeleteI love the texture in the broken and sad roof that the sepia brings out. What a fantastic photo op you found there. I love old barns! That's kind of funny that we both posted one this week.
ReplyDeleteThanks for visiting me today!
I love old building in sepia! They look beaten and wonderful..
ReplyDeleteA beautiful old barn! The sepia adds to it's charm.
ReplyDeleteYou've captured the beauty and texture of decay very well. Great image!
ReplyDeleteSomehow I missed this one - and I shouldn't have done that. Old buildings are great for photographers (if not for the owner) and you have as usual placed all the lines and angles just right.
