Sunrise over first snow
Tuesday morning, we woke up to a dusting of snow, the first of the year. By noon it had melted and everyone but Frosty the Snowman was happy. To see tons of gorgeous skies from around the world, visit the Sky Watch Website and click on Mr. Linky: http://skyley.blogspot.com

you have snow already!!!! have a lovely weekend, not too much snow I hope.
ReplyDeleteSuch beauty you have captured here. The beauty of the snow and the beauty of the sun playing around the clouds. However, it is the fencing lines that highlight this beauty and give it depth. A terrifically composed image.
ReplyDeleteToday it was freezing in my country for the first time of this year. But still we have no snow. I envy you a bit:-)
ReplyDeleteBeautiful photo. Your sky is amazing. Happy skywatching.

That is very beautiful. I hear the quiet of the first snow. Lovely.
ReplyDeleteYesterday when it was in the 60s here in Boston, I was posting a package home to my dad in Peterborough. The postmistress asked if they had snow yet. I told her I rather doubt it as your weather is similar to ours. I guess I was wrong.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful snowy shot! However the sun behind the clouds seem ever flaming, though I know it doesn't feel that way.
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful weekend.

Beautifully dusted snowy countryside. Lovely shot!
ReplyDeleteBrrrrr, but beautiful...Lovely shot...very nice.
ReplyDeleteYour first dusting took me back to when I was 20 in Canada. It was my first snow fall, it wasn't a dusting. Just a few white little tiny balls of white pellets. I thought some one had sprinkled white fertiliser. What do you expect from some one who grew up in the Tropics.
ReplyDeleteThen that year, the skies satisfied me, it was a record 28 minus degrees.
The year was 1975.
We had about the same snow, and it is gone too. What a beautiful color behind the clouds.Happy SWF.
ReplyDeleteB.
Being fond of mountains, I particularly love this picture, and I like all that you have included in the foreground.
