Beautiful contrast there! I love seeing those big icicles but am afraid we won't see any this winter with only one snowfall tht was gone completely in three days.
So many memories here...when little kids, we'd break off the icicles and then suck on them...probably very unsanitary, but I can't recall any of us becoming ill...
Very nice photo! Me too I like the composition, the presence of two different textures. The stone is normally is a cold material but the ice is colder, therefore on this photo when I look at the stone house I feel a warmth. This is an interesting paradoxe.
Thanks for visiting my little corner of the world. I hope you enjoyed your stay here. Please leave a comment before you leave so I can visit your blog.

ReplyDeleteThis is the first year for such a long time that I have seen 'proper' icicles on the eaves.. A also liked the stone work in this shot.
ReplyDeleteWe get icicles too and some grow to look like stalagmites and stalactites.
ReplyDeleteNice shot! That is what I like when it started to thaw ours here is as high as our house ^_^ Happy Monday!

Don't they bring back memories of childhood?
ReplyDeleteI would love to see the rest of that house!
I love looking at icicles. They are all so different depending where they originate from, and I love the stone.
ReplyDeleteHappy MM.

The picture may not be a macro, but those icicles sure look nice against those stones.
ReplyDeleteNice contrast between the ice and stones. The light seems almost warm...but we know better.

ReplyDeleteGreat combination~ Quite lovely!
ReplyDeleteI love the stonework! Most of the buildings around here use hewn stone, not cobbles like that!
