You know, I look at that lake, and imagine how many myriads of living creatures exist below. As for me, I'm happy to stay dry, indoors, with a cup of hot chocolate in hand. Thanks for braving the chill to bring us nice piccies.
love the subdued color tones and the overall composition of the shot. The wall is stunning. Again--I can see this picture hanging in my home. You should open an etsy shop and sell your prints.

Super wall. I like the stone standing up on the top layer. Yes it does look pretty cold. MB
ReplyDeleteIt looks very cold! How cold is it?
ReplyDeleteDoesn't look too menacing in this shot.

ReplyDeleteWhat a set up EG. It's perfect! Looks like an invitation from the lake through the open gate. Great stone fence.
ReplyDeleteI like the way you chose to frame that one.

I have seen walls like that before, and just started wondering about why they have been built that way...
ReplyDeleteBeautiful stone wall. We have lots of stone walls in the Napa Valley and it is fascinating to see how each one is different.

I like that wall -- just think of the time (and talent) it took to build it. The lake looks cold.
ReplyDeleteThat stone wall - and the opening - had a tremendous effect. Simple and elegant.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful shot. I really like the wall although it would be a bit uncomfortable to sit on while looking at that wonderful lake.
ReplyDeleteHugs~~

Great shot! I grew up on Lake Erie and that tree reminds me of the view from our front window.
ReplyDeleteGreat shot. You know, at first glance I thought those were birds lined up on top of the brick wall.
