An old plow finds new life as a lawn ornament/address marker
This photo has been tinted with half sepia even though it was nearly a natural sepia-tone shot when taken.

I love to see these old things put to a new use. Oh, the picture of the horse and rider....blissful!
ReplyDeleteWhat a shame it would have been not to exhibit this plough!
ReplyDeleteLove this.. never would have guessed it was yard art. (:
ReplyDeleteI love the "snow on branches" shot so much.. we don't get a lot of that around here (D.C.), but we did last night!!
that is soo beautiful :) great job! It almost look natural!

And the blue of the sign and of the sky pops! Love bits of color with sepia.
ReplyDeleteI love farm implements in sepia--so natural
ReplyDeleteThe cast iron plow is a necessary implement, to break ground and plant life sustaining plants and crops. Yet the frozen Ontario soil awaits the early spring to create furrows of food on the ground, Nice capture!
ReplyDeleteAnything with snow is beautiful to me BUT you have captured it exceptionally well!
ReplyDeleteIt is nice to see things put to a second use. Great picture.
ReplyDelete♥ Hugs ♥
What an interesting object! Great shot :)
ReplyDeleteWhat a nice job, EG! :)
ReplyDeleteThe plow does make a beautiful lawn ornament -- and a great sepia photo.
ReplyDeleteI think you've shown other old farm implements used as lawn ornaments...it would take a large lawn to make that work.
ReplyDeleteI like this shot a lot; and the blue sign gives it a perfect finishing touch!
I think that plow will be unemployed at least until May!
ReplyDeleteWe have had those in the past and they make great conversation pieces too.
ReplyDeleteB.
I see the use of old equipment used here quite a lot.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful sunshine in this one!
Its great to see an old implement finding a good use. Your photo shows it to best effect too.
ReplyDeleteInteresting how ou did that. the peek of blue adds just the right touch. MB
ReplyDeleteI do like it--my brothers have actually plowed with plows like this. Or similar to it.
ReplyDeleteWonderful idea, this picture is fabulous!

I love the reuse of such a character rich lawn ornament! The sepia is a very natural tone for it. You always find the most interesting things, I think one day I'd like to come and see Canada. You make it feel so beautiful!
ReplyDeleteI also love the sunset shot of your farm, I would love to drive home to that every day. Of course I'd hate to have to keep it running though. :)
Thanks for stopping by!
